Tough call. Solo? Gordon Lightfoot, Sting or Dougie McLean. John Lennon, too. Can't forget him.

David Bowie and Freddy Mercury for range and versatility as well as artistic merit.

Listen to DB singing 'Cat People' in his younger days.. awesome.
David Hutchence was also pretty awesome, great tones.

How could I forget Elton John? I agree also about Chris Daughtry, awesome. I'm also quite a fan of some of the other recent AI talent.. we'll see how they pan out in a few years.

I love so many singers. All of the American Idols from all the seasons. Can we name bands too? The Fray, 'N Sync, Backstreet Boys, my friend Mark Davis who also plays the guitar.
I'll actually be related to a musician on this Saturday. I'm actually leaving tomorrow to go up to Nashville for my cousin Lia's wedding. She is getting married to Mike Flynn who works for Sony. He is working with The Fray. Before he use to be in a band called Old Pike. Anyone ever hear of Old Pike? He has also worked with John Couger Mellencamp.
I actually like John Couger Mellencamp too. Oh and Howard Jones is a good singer too. I love alot of 80's music.

My favorite singer is Big Band singer Margaret Whiting, best known for Moonlight In Vermont. Beautiful voice.
