Will it air in the United States?

I've looked - can't find a listing yet.

I have been told it will be on the Discovery Kids channel there, it has a website and if you click on Mystery Hunters each month it still says no schedule yet. It is a Canadian programme so although it was first shown in the UK (a good thing as they axed the channel soon after so I wouldn't have been on at all) Canada were next.

Just switched on to see I'm on right now (2.30pm) on Ten ways to be abducted by an alien, on UK Discovery Science. But you have 13 hours to get the video programmed, it's repeated at 3.50-4.50am. It's a pity they don't advertise it in the TV guide otherwise I could give more notice.

I may have multiple repeats on this show but Mystery Hunters was on Discovery Kids and soon after I was on the channel was pulled from the UK. That was a lucky one it was after and not before...

Can you put them on YouTube at all, Sats?

I'm not sure- I know they now allow TV clips without any apparent permission as I've been watching them, but besides the time limit on free videos I'm not sure how to select just my bit from the whole saved DVD once I've saved it to my documents. If anyone can walk me through it I'll have a go but also hope it wouldn't get me out of favour with the TV company for putting it online. I may need to ask them first out of courtesy.

Well, satguru, we don't get enough Canadian broadcasts here in the U.S. -- although we do get some -- so any information about YouTube or other online sites on which we can see your appearance, without copyright violations, would be appreciated!

I'll check with the producer, and if OK will see whether I can select a clip which won't bust the few minutes they let you post on youtube. I'd rather put the whole lot on but it's much longer than they allow, which I can understand really.

Good news, I have permission to use the clip, but currently no DVD ripping software. If anyone knows a free one I can download I'll be on the case asap.

Sat, I just did a search on this and a whole slew of them came up with a couple that I know are reliable. It depends on the sytem and DVD burner you have. I simply put in "free DVD ripping" for the search. One that is good is Ripit4me http://www.afreecodec.com/win/887/ripit4me/ .Try this because I believe it is going to be pulled shortly by filmmakers. I know the download is free and is currently still available. Hope it helps you out. We all want to see you! Sandy

Thanks Sandy, I downloaded something that gave me a 10 minute free session and then realised I probably had the software on a CD. Now I have to find out how to clip it to under 100mb so I can get it on youtube. Currently I have no idea how to edit a file to get a portion from it but once I learn that trick the video will be there for all to see. If it's possible that is...

Technical updates, I found two programmes which edit videos, one on CD (Nero) and then by searching Windows had Windows movie maker sitting there the whole time.

Nero turned out a waste of time as once I cut the ends off to isolate my piece it then converted it to an exclusive format only readable by Nero itself. That apparently is a waste of time.

As a result I discovered Windows provide an editor already and I have done the same routine but haven't yet found a way for Youtube to read it, plus the tiny 2 minute clip still appears to be too big for Youtube, maybe as such high quality with no compression. I think I need to get a professional...

Update: It seems Windows Movie Maker messes up the format as well. I had a format converter on the old computer, looks like the next step. Fingers crossed.

Whew, sorted! Only 1 1/2 minutes (I'm in a little earlier as well) but got all the bits sorted out at last.

You ARE cute and so relaxed. I watched your other videos also and wasn't sure if I heard you correctly a couple times on the one about your life. None in 25 years? Also, do you really think living alone will "send someone around the bend"? I am looking at that in the immediate future (going through a divorce right now) and I already consider myself a strange person. Maybe it will cause me to go the opposite way and become saner. I don't really care one way or the other.

I hope my little moan didn't mislead anyone, 'none in 25 years' did not relate to quantity but quality. I'd have gone potty long before now otherwise, and yes, living alone (especially for an only child who has always been left alone) is a recipe for disaster. Knowing you'll arrive home and maybe have no one to talk to for a day or more and have no one to help with the chores can turn anyone funny especially after 14 years of it with no prospect of an alternative.

But don't worry about going mad just yet, I think had I been married and divorced I'd have had less of a situation as it wouldn't have been constant since I left home. My plan was to get married and then leave home but in reality it was watch the clock as I waited to be 'kicked out'...
