I agree about Pricilla Queen of the Desert that was a very funny film I also love watching Psycho, The Birds, Anita and Me, Ten things I hate about you, Trainspotting, Lake Placid and Sleeping with the Enemy. There are more that I could mention because I watch so many films but I can't think of anymore right now.

I'm browsing this thread and I'm seeing a lot of "Fight Club", yeah, it's one of the best that I've seen. Brad Pitt, I gotta say is the man. He's always being blasted for being a "pretty boy", (he is pretty aint he?), but, he is also funny as hell. The first rule of Fight Club is...to watch it every chance you get. "The Godfather Trilogy", lots of people say that they didn't like III but, I liked it a lot. The scene at the end when Michael discovers his daughter is the one who got shot, is one of the saddest I''ve seen. I also think that "Full Metal Jacket", Apocalypse Now, and Platoon are the best war movies. Also I'm crazy for "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas", Johnny Depp and Benecio del Toro are totally out of order in that one, I did some serious laughing at that one. Also "12 Monkeys" and "Se7en", maybe there is something to Brad Pitt after all. "...the ability to let that which does not matter truly slide". "Fight Club"

I don’t think this is my favorite movie, but I saw a great movie this morning called “I’ll Wave Back.”
It is one of those movies that send you on an emotional roller coaster.
Most of the acting was great but the thing I liked most is that it didn’t have one of those predictable everything is perfectly goody-goody endings.
I loved it.

Can't believe I still haven't seen Fight Club yet. I'll have to rent it this weekend. I can't say the best movie overall. I have to go by genre.
This question is way too hard to answer for me. I might have a better chance if you asked "Best Horro Movie" or "Best Classic" or "Best Romantic Comedy..."

I'm an avid movie goer. Some oldies that come to mind as favourites are Kings Row (really old) which co starred Ronald Reagan and Anne Sheridan; Charlie about a mentally handicapped man who became a genius after experimental treatment, only to return to his original state; and the musical Oklahoma. And right up there with the oldies - Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. What a great coupling of two great actors. Best scene and dialogue, where they jumped off the cliff. Foreign Films - Burnt by the sun, beautifully atmospheric and visually stunning, My Life as a Dog and Kolya. British films - Waking Ned Devine, Brassed Off and The Full Monty Australian films - Priscilla Queen of the Desert, Most favourite film to date would have to be the Shawshank Redemption. Next Beautiful Mind, Seven and Philadelphia. I know I will think of more but thats all for now.

Without a doubt, my favourite movie of all time is Whatever Happened to Baby Jane - Joan Crawford and Bette Davis are fantastic trying to outdo each other. Sunset Boulevard would have to come a very close second though. Strangely ironic casting of Gloria Swanson, and it's very touching when one of her old movies is playing in the background. The original version of Psycho is another movie that I never tire of. There seems to be a black-and-white theme emerging here! I guess that the only movie that has really impressed me recently is 8 Women, a French comedy musical murder mystery. Very strange combination, but it works. Absolutely brilliant.

This is a toughie- I would say that my favorite is Apollo 13. A close second is The Mummy with Brendan Fraser- the characters are wonderful!

My top favorite films include "Walking Tall", "Annie Hall", and "Donnie Darko". I liked the message of "Walking Tall" and think they had a top notch cast of mostly character actors/actresses. "Annie Hall" is beautiful & sad, the beginning of my love of romantic comedies. I saw a lot of myself in the character of "Donnie Darko" which has never happened to me via a movie.

The one that I`ve found most watchable would be Gattaca, and anything by Kubrick is watchable for me.Babettes Feast,The Last Emperor and Stalingrad I also enjoyed greatly along with Luminescent Moss.

I have to 100% agree. I saw this years ago on t.v. late at night. I fell in love with it. In 5th grade, my teacher had us stand up and say what our favorite movie was, I said The Silence of the Lambs and everybody's like, "Wow, I've never seen that movie, I didn't know you liked it...(gasps and so on.)"

Gotta say, I was madly in love with "The Mummy" for an insane amount of time. I would watch it practically every day. I don't watch it as much but I can still quote it almost line for line. Another good movie is "Splendor In The Grass" starring Warren Beatty and NATALIE WOOD!!! Has anyone seen it?

I am so with you SillyLily! My roommate and I both LOVE The Mummy and we don't know why (I assume you are talking about the Brendan Fraser version)! Although, I really don't know what my favorite movie of all time is. That's an impossible question to answer.
