I was looking for an older thread, and found it, but noticed that it's locked. I know threads get locked if there are similar topics or if it becomes too long (300 replies, usually) but what I noticed next has nothing to do with either of those reasons. From about halfway down page two, every single thread is locked! This seems to continue on for all the pages afterwards. I'm a little confused as to why this has been done? Often when I have finished a book, I like to see if there has been a thread created on it. If I feel like adding my thoughts, I can do so in the already existing thread. Or sometimes I might just want to respond to a topic that has sparked my interest. That can't be done anymore with the major locking taking place. Looks like threads posted in from early August 2006 and prior to that have been locked.

Can someone please explain why this change has occurred? I'm sorry if this has been mentioned but I couldn't find any info elsewhere.

Now I'm feeling embarrassed. I guess I should've extended my search before posting! The answer has been posted in the Feedback Forum. Although, it's a recent development so I don't feel too bad.
