Nearly forgot! I'm still waiting for my flowers to bloom, so for Wednesday's offering here are some dandelions (I loved them when I was a kid).

Lovely photo Tom, I love country lanes like that.

Today I had to go out and when I returned I saw that the cat had found a new bed.

One of the osprey nests near my house. There was a baby osprey, but he doesn't show up in this picture of mom and dad. The dad was circling me -- guess he would have dive bombed me if I'd gone out on the dock.

Here is a photo of a pier at a lakeside resort. The town has painted the cement white and has invited artists to paint a picture. Some are very good.

The Almonry at Battle has served all sorts of purposes over the centuries: it's now the parish council hall and a museum.

I wouldn't have remained sitting on my deck.

I suppose these are among the most photographed lions in the world. This is the left hand lion as you enter the headquarters of the HSBC, building created by Norman Foster. The left lion (the one with the mouth open) is named Stephen, after the general manager of Hong Kong branch A. G. Stephen; and the right is named Stitt, after the general manager of Shanghai branch at the time.

Rumour has it that Stitt used to have its mouth open as well, but this would allow it to "breathe in" the eastern wind, giving it life at night and became a menace to the public. Thus Stitt was recast with its mouth closed.

I will show you some more HK tourist sites later, I had a real tourist trip today.

My grandsons' dog Luna. She has tripled in size since I took this pic.

Those paintings on the wall are very cool.

It really is quite cold and unpleasant compared to last month and there is little incentive to 'go out and about'. Today I had to go to the dentist so took my camera intending to get the dentist to 'smile please' but forgot after having him poke about in my mouth for an hour. All was not lost, I whipped the camera out just before getting into my car on the 6th floor of the multi-story carpark. I assume I have been captured on CCTV which should cause some confusion. "She looks as if she is taking photos", especially as I didn't want to get a shot of the anti-jump wire - all our carparks have it now as on average one person jumped each month.

I did one of my front garden trips today, here was my favourite just off my old road in Hampstead Garden Suburb.

My sister and I went to a crop at the local scrapbook store this evening. One of my projects was this Mother's Day card for my Mum. (I'd show you the inside, but it's a tad off-centre and slightly smudged - Mum won't mind though ).

I'm about seven in the photo...

Another magnificent cat!

I'm going to be stuck at home for a few days, so here's another pic from Battle - the Almonry Garden, a tiny but pretty little park behind the parish hall.

More Golders Greenery from me, the Temple Fortune bit to the east. This is on the corner of the main through road, Finchley Road. Besides working further down for 5 years I also had a job for about a week on one of the corners right here in a butcher's shop. A week was more than enough.

I've spent 9 hours at work today and I will have to repeat the "experience" tomorrow. But at least I have a nice view from my office window - our famous "People's Palace" (Parliament Palace)

That's great Mada! More,more!
Here is the dreaded HK Bank itself. A building that is loved and hated, at least it causes comment. I hate it because there is always a queue inside!
