I know im kind of out out my era being 20, and mainly listening to all those classic hair bands from the 80's...but i was just wondering who else can appreciate a good guitar riff when they hear one. the majority of my friends seem to view music as having expiration dates. being that when a song reaches a certain date, it goes bad. ?? idk what type of logic that is, to me a good song, will always be a good song. ehh anyway, just a few of the bands that im really into are:

aerosmith, tesla, mr.big, kix, motley crue, warrent, skid row, quiet riot, twisted sister, autograph, triumph, poison, firehouse, dokken, lynch mob, def leppard, europe, april wine, bad english, cinderella, slaughter, stryper, white lion, white snake, trixter, winger, heart, la guns.. i could go on forever.

anyone else listen to those, or others?

Yea, music these days are seriously missing ahh, what do you call it?? ...oohh yea, TALENT! I hate how there is only one band out there who are playing their music, then hundreds of other bands all trying to copy them. Songs now a days are missing substance. I will admit that on occasion, I can get into a song or two from nickelback, but they are still on an entirely different level from what was topping the charts at one point. Ya know, there was some fierce competition back then for a song to reach #1. I mean jeeze, look at aerosmith! Can you really tell me that dream on didnt well deserve #1? COME ON! In todays music, it goes from whiny little boys with black comb overs, crying about how deprived the last 16 years of their lives have been, to the complete opposite of the spectrum with screaming so intense that the only way anyone could possibly mimik it would be to have some convicted murderer chase after you with a butcher knife! That is heavy rock? You see bands of those styles all the time topping the charts, I dont get it! I'm sorry.. don't mean to rank on any of you who do listen to that, but I just dont quite find the equivalent level of talent there...That may very well be all that music is producing these days, but that sure as hell isnt all thats out there to listen to!

Im just thankful that classic hair bands still are together and doing their thing in concerts all around the country. I actually just got tickets to see Def Leppard, Foreigner, and Styx in concert this summer and im so psyched! Ohh, and I also got Steve Miller Band tickets, but they aren't a hair band lol.

There is nothing better then hearing/watching a classic power ballad being performed live!

ROCK ON!
