I asked for the treasure and was sent to place with 400+ possibilities for the location. I think I'll wait for the treasure to move to a different spot...

It's worth the wait...very satisfying. Luckily there are new challenges out there now (e.g. riddle and centurion conundrum) to keep me going!

Ugh...just found the treasure chest, but it had already been looted. Oh well, at least I've learned something important about the requirements for getting there.

Yey! I got the treasure yesterday. I have to be honest though, I'm still confused about certain clues. I still haven't received several clues, so maybe that has something to do with it.

Congratulations, Saturnchick! I made the mistake of keeping all my clues on my computer and have had it crash and I've lost everything. I also haven't received a clue in months!

Why thank you, Clara!

Although I don't envy your predicament, don't lose heart. I'm sure that all the relevant clues will make their way around to you again. wink

I found the treasure without having all the clues (although the ones I didn't have weren't essential ones, of course). I actually carried on collecting until I had the full set, even after I had the treasure!

New to site and intrigued by the treasure hunt references....do I just wait for clues or is there an explanation somewhere of what this is all about? cheers

The treasure hunt is on the quiz side of the site, not in the forums.

Muspratt,
The rules and such for the Treasure Hunt can be found in the Quizzyland/ Challenges Area (Click Challenges from the quizzyland header bar)/ Regular Challenges/ and then look under the Sapphire Cavern for Treasure Hunter. I think that's as much help as anyone is allowed to give toward that badge.

Should a non-Gold Member even care about the treasure hunt or is it an impossible task? Seems to me the 'no scoring quizzes after 100th' might be why I'm not able to progress on some task I've been trying to accomplish... (??)

You don't have to be a gold member to find/win the treasure. There was an issue quite awhile ago with the number of quizzes, but Terry fixed that. So keep hunting Paul! : )

I understand the rules for The Treasure Hunt. My question is this: How do you get into The Treasure Hunt? i get the clues but I am not taken to another area. What link do I click onto to play?

You need to collect a lot of clues - the more you get the more sense it makes and at some point the clues will point you in the right direction. A lot of the fun of the Treasure Hunt is working out what the clues mean.

I had to collect clues for a very long time before they made any kind of sense. Just keep collecting them; you'll get there. smile

I can't find the clues. I only found one that I have no idea what it means. Can anyone offer help?

The clues appear at random at the top of pages on the quiz site, you just have to watch out for them. Copy them to a notepad or Word file and save them on your computer. They are numbered so you can keep them in order. It can take months to get all the clues and some people take years to work out what they mean - but it's worth being methodical about it. It's definitely not an overnight sensation! Good luck!

I used to get clues all the time, back when I wasn't actually playing. Now that I've started, I haven't gotten a clue in 2 weeks. Is that normal?

Yes. Just keep looking for them and keep them written down or in a file you can't lose.

Now that you mention it, I haven't seen clues in quite some time... Even though I have the badge, I continued to regularly see clues, but that seems to have stopped?

I had clues two days in a row in the beginning of the week. Of course they ere clues I already had. I know I'm still missing some needed clues.

I've seen quite a few clues lately but I just use them to polish the badge I've already got. wink

After reading all the comments, I spotted two clues and got a bit excited about this and the most comment/response answer here is to be patient, and then I read it could take YEARS? shocked
I don't have years! I'll persevere. smilee
