Believe it or not, this is a famous and well-known character. She's difficult to recognize in this 1958 cartoon, because she isn't in her regular clothes. Any guesses?

Isn't that Wendy the little witch who hangs out with Casper?

Yes, it's the friend and companion of Casper. Here he is, in the same cartoon, with two "good little witches"; the blonde is Wendy. She and Casper have just returned from a "date" at the beach, hence the bathing suits. In the other picture she was telling him, in typical lover's-quarrel fashion, "I'll never speak to you again!" It was an unusual kind of story for Casper; he dealt pretty well with his daily problems, but "girl trouble" he couldn't handle.

In fact, that was Wendy's first screen appearance, though she had already been in comic books.
