I got 35 of 49, and considering I didn't do too much on European geography, being an American, 71.42% isn't too bad.

Although I admit, I live in Europe.

In actuality, only the northwest portion of Turkey is in Europe. It is one of two countries in the world in TWO continents (Russia being the other).

The spellings tripped me up a bit. I also took ages trying to get started - I kept typing in England, Scotland and Wales and nothing happened. Apparently they're not countries.

What about Egypt? Does Sinai count as Asia? And isn't Russia in both Europe and Asia?

I got 28 of 49. Some of those I knew but couldn't think of then kicked myself for forgetting them. I'm not surprised that I didn't do as well. I took World Geography in High School but we only got as far as Western Europe before the end of the semester and Eastern Europe accounted for most of what I missed! Oh well, I learned something today!--And that is always a good thing

That's fun but Azerbaijan,
Armenia, Georgia are in Asia not Europe!

Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia may be geographically in Asia, but they are members of the Council of Europe .

That's absurd- it's a geography test. Based on the structure of the Council of Europe anyone could be a potential member with currently allowing Kazakhstan and Japan as having observer status. It needs to stay with true geography I believe.

If you want to look at it as a pure geography test, the map was there, and clearly showed the three countries that you're disputing.

Got 35 and forgot the following 14 Most of the ones I missed are the new "breakaway" countries...

Must remember that new countries are most likely to crop up ONLY in Europe!

"You forgot:Slovenia, Bosnia, Montenegro, Macedonia, Moldova, Belarus, Luxembourg, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, Liechtenstein,
Cyprus, Malta, San Marino,
Thank you. Come again."

I got 48. The time ran out before I worked out how to spell Leichtenstein.

I didn't get Armenia, Azerbaijan or Georgia. I tend to think of the three republics in the Caucasus as outside Europe. There's a subjective dimension to it.

I know that everyone seems to see these countries as subjective, but to be honest, when they're displayed there on the provided map, there's no excuse.

The map was sad, I could distinguish Turkey but the rest going east was not decipherable.

I forgot Moldova! I feel terrible...

I don't think I would have done quite so well if Eurovision hadn't been a couple of weeks ago!

How do you get it to work? I tried it with Netscape and then IE and when I type in the name of a country nothing happens.
