This one only just got here... the cinema was nearly empty , so it won't last long here, but oh I did enjoy it!! What a beautifully produced and acted film it was. Very long, two and a half hours, but for me they flew. I felt really homesick .

I just rented this and enjoyed it very much. The time did fly! I think I might watch it again before I return it.

I saw this movie last Saturday, and I was REALLY swept away! Great actors, brilliantly directed, incredible dialogues (Maggie Smith really cracked me up!). I really didn't notice that the movie was so long! Can't wait for it to be released on video.

Hi. I thought it was good, but confusing, I'll have to see it again. There were so many people in it, and I couldn't keep them all straight in my head. I had a tiring week at work, so I just dozed off.

I agree about the confusing part. But it was only confusing the first 20 minutes or so. I loved the rest

I thought the plot was pretty funny but all in all I don't really get the big deal about it. Maybe I need to watch it again, I don't know.

I suppose there really was not any big deal about the story line. That , for me, took second place to the portrayal of the vast class differences between those upstairs and down. It seems to me that was exactly how it really was then. i just revelled in the brilliant showing of those differences.
