Excuse me but isn't it still May?

I mean we've had terrible weather all of May so I'm glad if it's gone early but if I've lost a day somewhere that's bad I don't have that many left.

It is still May in many places but it getting on for rise and shine time on the 1st of June in Australia and other parts of the world.

It is a bit of a job to know what time the change of thread should be done. I could have left it a few more hours I suppose. Perhaps next time. Maybe view the start of a new thread as a 'more or less' changeover time rather than a definite one.

Not being critical Telly just just trying to be humorous and failing miserably as usual.

I knew you didn't really mind Argus I changed the thread at 7:15 PM UK time. I thought Copago might be up early and wonder why it hadn't been done

After looking up his old patch, Kingsbury, someone who left the house 4 doors away from me in 1955 and then left the country found all my sites and pictures, and recognised his old road in my photos. Then I got an email he is coming back for the first time in 40 years and got a call today he's here. He arrived this evening and thanks to the internet I've now met someone who lived here before I was born. He turned out to be an accomplished psychic and we also had a lot of other things in common. My parents moved almost over the road from him in 1957 and I lived there till I was 5.
Here we are in my front room, Mike is on the right.



I also had a similar experience with a member here (forgot the name) who found my pictures of Henlys Corner on the North Circular, where he worked in the garage and met his wife in the 1940s and also left the country, also I think for Australia. Without the internet tracking down all our old friends and neighbours would have been almost impossible.

After they're shorn the sheep have to get 'dipped', in days gone past that meant they did have to be fully drenched with the chemicals. Now it's just a strip of chemical put up their back. It's to stop lice.

This was blooming in my front garden when I went out to pick up my paper Thursday morning.



I'm posting Friday's before I go to bed, as I'm off to Ottawa tomorrow for a few days. Should have some decent pics to share when I return.

Today's is a bit of a bore , really, unless you happen to like huge shopping malls just teaming with every famous name you ever heard in fashion, cosmetics, clothes, books and wonderful restaurants. It can get to be a drag, but I do pass through occasionally to drool at Tiffany's windows, or Chanel or even our lovely Shanghai Tang. It passes the time I guess. Here is Pacific Place in Admiralty, it is huge and always has lovely hanging decorations whatever the season. I guess the price of those is handed on to the buyers, which is why I can never afford anything in there.

Whilst I was waiting for my friend to return home yesterday I was watching the birds feeding outside her window. Then this cheeky chappy waddled into the garden for something to eat.

Thanks tellywellies.....most helpful. Phew, also a lot to take in but after seeing some of the photo's in here....well worth the time to resize and post.
