Here is one of the many coaches from Victoria heading north through Golders Green, often to the M1 motorway near me. For some reason there's no destination up so anyone waiting at the stop will have to ask. Otherwise they could easily end up in Barnsley rather than Hull. Personally I'd stay where I was...

I'm back, my hard drive crashed and I lost everything. Thankfully I do back up so I only lost a few items. So here is a photo I took while out walking in our area.

It's a Yellow headed blackbird. There is a wetland area very close to our house and I got some nice photos of the flora and fauna. More to come.

If you'd like to see a larger photo click on the link below:

This dear old boy waits near the bus stop every morning at 6 oclock for his dad to get off night duty. It is hot by then so he is quite dozey. He is a real sweetie.

Well I'm going to take some pictures of Buenos Aires because I don't really like the ones I have now. But I read Sue's instructions on how to post a picture so I decided to give it a try.

This is my cat Kiara. My mom and I were playing Scrabble and she decided to join in

I did take some photos today, but none suitable for posting here (without permission from others, at least ), so I have fallen back of this shot of "Sunset on the River" that I took in Ottawa at the beginning of the month.

I'd love to see some of your Buenos Aires images, but meanwhile here's another one of mine, taken some years ago. I just wish they hadn't placed the tall silver lamp-post where it is right in the centre!
For everyone else, the building is of course the Casa Rosada, and you may recall the lines sung by Che in the musical 'Evita':
"She had her moments, she had some style
The best show in town was the crowd
Outside the Casa Rosada crying, Eva Peron".
This image was scanned from a 35mm slide, using the converter which our moderator Sue kindly gave me last year - and it's not bad at all I think.

Wow, that's a very good picture, picquero! The Casa Rosada is a very nice building. I think it needs to be repainted, the current paint is wearing out, but it's still nice nonetheless. Since you were in that square, you must have seen dozens of pigeons flying around. There are always many, many pigeons around Plaza de Mayo square and it's great to see when someone feeds them, you will see a big grey circle on the floor and all the pigeons trying to get a piece of bread or whatever food people give them

Edited to add: Liz, that's a beautiful sunset.

Love the elephants Jane!
Oh dear PF no purple bears?
Lovely cat MP - keep it up, we are waiting for the B.A. pictures.

Well this is the last photo taken at Harnas (some of you will be pleased). Of course I saved the best for last! This is 'Goeters', which means 'Things'. I have no idea where he got the name from but do know he was raised as Marilese's(daughter of the oweners) pet. If I remember correctly he used to live in the house and sleep on her bed.
He is quite famous and has starred in a couple of movies. I tried to find out which ones but no luck. I do know he starred in 'Beyond Borders' with Angelina Jolie but sadly he is not credited for it on IMDB.

Kiara is beautiful, Minkpenny.

So is the yellow-headed blackbird, Argus: I never knew there was such a creature.

Hope you had a good time in Devon, Jane: thanks for a nice variety of pics.

Lots of nineteenth-century Brits had themselves sculpted in Roman togas, but this is the only one I know who preferred to appear in his dressing-gown. Thomas Carlyle sits in a nice homely pose on the embankment at Chelsea in London, a few yards from his old house in Cheyne Row.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch...

Looks like he's having a ball, Copago.

One grandkid down, two more to go.

When I looked out this morning I also saw some 'nice clouds', the sun was making them look rather pretty so I took my camera out into the garden. I couldn't see what I was taking as it was rather bright so I just took several one after another and looked at them once I came back indoors. What amazed me was the difference a minute made to the formation.

This one was taken about a minute later!

Ottawa looks like a very attractive city, Liz.

This is another statue from the Embankment - commemorating Samuel Plimsoll who came up with the idea of the load-line on ships.

I promised you a picture of a faithful furry friend. This bear is (originally enough ) Big Ted, and he was got for me, by a extra special Aunt, almost 29 years ago, when I had my ears pinned back. This bear has been in hospital with me during cleft palate operations (none which completely worked) and is a extra special bear He's also been stitched together coutless times
