Sorry I didn't get back to your query Denni19 but I've been outside all day and just returned, but I see Liz filled you in. Yes Liz the elusive Blue Jay came for a drink many times but never when I had my camera. He' s been squawking around our yard all week, he has a young one with him and they're teaching him/her to fly. I couldn't get the youngster at the water he couldn't land properly and splashed head first into the water then flew off. If only I had the camera ready it would have been a great shot. Oh well maybe next time.

This is my first macro post. The lychees on my tree are ripening fast and I picked the first crop today . They are deliciously cool and juicy as I keep them in the fridge The first basket of lychees

That looks good! I was going to post another macro myself but to keep the peace, I thought I should post Mrs TW's latest finished cross stitch creation instead. It's called 'On the Terrace' (Renoir). The picture isn't quite square but the frame is, so a little of the picture is cut off top and bottom. The frame was the nearest size that could be bought 'off the shelf'. The man in the open-air market who makes frames to size wasn't there this week. The picture took two years (on and off) to complete. It measures 19½" x 20½" and is done on 14 count material. There are no blank spaces. It is all filled in with stitches. Link to larger photo. Oh, good! That means I don't have to pull it up! Thanks, Sue
One person's weed is another's flower. Our daughter-in-law (from Thailand) once asked how to grow a lawn with all the white flowers in it. I said that many here spend time trying to get rid of daisies in the lawn ..and dandelions.

A peaceful but sad photo picqero. I know Mrs TW will appreciate the praise about the picture . A cross stitch macro is a good idea Sue. I might not have time (when the light good enough) to take a photo for tomorrow but I will do it. I've got another way of doing even closer macro shots. I'll mention how this can be done when posting tomorrow's photo (picture already taken).

Ah, so that’s what a blue jay is. Lovely pic, Argus. And Mrs TW’s Renoir is simply wonderful. Hastings acquired a number of Victorian churches during its mushroom growth in the nineteenth century. Most of them are not worth photographing, but I like this one (Holy Trinity), on a triangular site near the centre with an ornate drinking fountain in front of the apex.

This morning I reported to ShopMobility to start training as a volunteer. I obviously didn't take this photo as I appear in it but thought I would post it anyway. I didn't get a ride today but will soon. This link shows just some of the equipment they have available for people with mobility problems to use.

Once upon a time there was a county called Middlesex. In 1965 only the name remained as postal addresses for the residents moved to London (not physically) but without a London postcode. Until the 1930s except the local town centres (as they were outside London) weren't built until the area became industrialised in the 1930s and then it all went up suddenly with mainly 3 bedroomed semi-detached houses just like these. If you go from Finchley in the North-East to Hounslow in the South-West of old Middlesex you will see houses similar to this for about ten miles continually. These are what I consider to be nicer examples, many others look like industrial storage units. Meadow Drive, Hendon. Opposite my old piano teacher.

This flower had opened over night, so it was brand new. TW tell Mrs. TW that her work is fabulous. Both Mrs Argus and I do cross stitch, that one is quite detailed.

This one was taken with my new camera in 'night vision' mode. I'm not sure what happened but I love the result. My own 'hollow man'

Spooky, Troll! I merged these two pics together so it's just the one image. It's the same windmill - on the left was taken about eight months ago when the drought was severe and on the right was taken this morning surrounded by grass. Happy Days The windmill doesn't actually work anymore and it is powered by the bank of solar panels you can see there to the right of the mill. Link to larger pic here
