Following on from the thread in which we can ask all we ever wanted to know about sheep farming I thought it might be interesting to know about other types of work which our members have done. If you wish to share with us as to the type of work you have done and are happy to answer questions then post here.

Until I lost my job eighteen months ago, I worked for the Citizens Advice Bureau so if anyone wants to ask questions about CABx then go ahead.

When I first left school I worked at a Motorway Service Area. Then into the RAF where I started as a radar tech and ended up as a Firefighter, don't ask why. After several years in dead end jobs, and two years out of work because of a stanley knife ( utility knife I think they are called in other places ) I finally got my current job as a Satellite TV Installation Engineer. Yes folks, I work for Sky.

When I first left school I worked in our local hospital as a pathology lab technician, but after 11 years, I decided to move elsewhere and embarked on what would become my career for the rest of my working life to date. I became a salesman, initially selling pharmaceuticals, but in later times selling medical equipment, mainly to hospitals. So, my working life has been medically biased for the whole of my working life so far.
