KLIF is very much still up and running, Gtho. I don't know how the other call letters have fared over the years. Welcome to the forums, radio fan. Always glad to see bright young members sign up.

Thanks for all the greetings! Quote:

Does this include DXing? Many moons ago I had a long wire at right angles to the USA, and picked up KLIF Dallas, KOMA Oklahoma, KNX Los Angeles, KEX Portland, and CFCN Calgary .. plus a MW station in Sacramento whose call-sign escapes me. It was after midnight here, and around dawn on the west coast (i.e. the entire path was in darkness). I don't know if those stations are still around, as it's been 30 odd years!
The CFCN call sign is not currently in use. KEX and KNX are still in use. The KOMA callsign is no longer on AM, only on FM.

I love talk radio as well, and am a regular caller, and have spent many years in the past DXing, although not an amateur my radio somehow managed it... I have postcards from all over the world as a record. Welcome to our world.
