Hi All, Just wondering if there is anyone out there over fifty. I am 51. Seen some of pics, and a couple of you may be. I found this website about five years or so ago and started playing the games. I have only posted maybe two or three times though. Since the time I found this website, we have moved and I haven't got on the website much until maybe a month or so ago. I love my husband of almost 33 years, my two kids, my three grandkids, ages 6, 7, and 13 and Trivia Games. I am not really a 'newbie' to this site but I feel like one. I would like to figure out some quizzes to post on here. I have already printed out the guidelines. I love music from the past, like Melanie Safka, Harry Chapin, Jim Croce, Mama's and The Papa's and the 'folk songs' from the 60's. Yeah that's me, stuck in the 60's. I got my 'nick name', Grandma Hippie, from my granddaughter, the 13 year old, a couple of years ago. She loves telling everyone that her Grandpa and Grandma are Hippies. It's only because of the way we look and the music we listen to (which she really likes),that she calls us that. No, we do not do drugs or anything like that. I just wanted to introduce myself and like I already said, was wondering if there was anyone as old as I out there Take Care, and Stay Safe, Grandma Hippie

Not over 50, but hang about a couple of years and...
I've already introduced myself in the music thread, and I also like Harry Chapin and especially the Mammas and the Papas, and the Seekers. Peter Paul and Mary, The Spinners and all the other folk stuff of the time. Glad there are a few of us left, I was only little at the time but it made me what I am today. We are keeping a little of it alive and long may it last!

Welcome Grandma Hippie There's a pretty big range of ages here - you certainly won't be the oldest. The others would come and introduce themselves but they're probably having their afternoon naps ... Just kidding! Hope you are comfortable here and will join in the conversations.

Hello GrandmaHippie. It's true there are a lot of us folkie, over fifty relics out here. I received my first AARP card last week, in fact. Nice to have you here.

Looking at the latest results for the age/gender poll, and doing a bit of number crunching, the average age group is 51 to 60. This makes me feel right at home.

Thanks to all of you for your very kind words. I'm going to check back at Fun Trivia alot more often than I have in the past. It seems like a nice place to 'hang out'. Take Care All !! Grandma Hippie

Welcome GranmaHippie! If you were a year younger you would be able to join all those FT's who are turning 50 this year - like me. It is refreshing to see there are so many 'old' computer literate people out there. And Sue, Ren does not look more than slightly older than 50! Off to have my eyes tested.

Hi, Grandma Hippie! I'm not over 50, but I'm over 40. I love Harry Chapin; even wrote a couple of quizzes about his music. Welcome to the forums!

Hi, GrandmaHippie. I think you’ll find plenty of us so-called “silver surfers” here. I turned sixty a couple of years ago, and I find the site a great place. Stay with us and have fun.

Dear Grandma Hippie I am a brand-new member and this is my first contribution. You are a juvenile - I'm over 70 but have enough marbles left to enjoy all sorts of puzzles and still beat all my daughters and sons-in law (3 of each) at crosswords, though my oldest grandson (15)beats me at sudoku. I'm specially interested in the Bookworm forums. Fearnhill

Hiya Grandma Hippie . Another in the "Fifty" club here. They let us stay after a certain age around the place. And, yep, we even get to talk about Harry Chapin, actually seeing The Beatles on Ed Sullivan etc. It's a lovely and tolerant bunch around here ....

It's really excellent to see some grandmaly quizzers here on this website. Say...I'm from China and always get appealed to the age of hyper-residents in the States and other occidental countries. Yet if your grandkids are also quizzers, I'd love to be their friends

Hi! I'm 54 and I just found the forum this week while I've been on vacation. I really love the quizzes and stuff and it's nice to know I can talk to people my own age and not someone worrying about what Britney Spears is up to.
