Do any of you who read romance fiction have any favorite sites where you can read stories online? I've found a few, but not too many.

Here are some of the ones I've found:
http://members.aol.com/silkwisper/Page1.html
http://www.romance.net http://www.ireadromance.com http://www.teleport.com/~writers/romanceserial.html http://www.geocities.com/Paris/LeftBank/5653/ http://www.romcom.com/

(Unfortunately, several of these sites are not updating the stories very often. The best one I've found so far is the romanceserial one above - it updates at the first of each month, but at least it's regular. Some of them haven't changed in several months.)

I posted this message several months ago and never got feedback. So, I'm moving it back up to the top. Seems like a perfect time with Valentines' Day approaching!

People post stories online because:

1. More poeple are online then in bookstores
2. You don't have to pay to get it published
3. People don't have to pay to read your story.
4. If you like Fan-Fiction* The only place to find some is on-line.

* Fan-Fiction: A Fan, writes a fiction story about a Show, Series or Movie. Even a real book. Useualy making a charector based on themselves, and incorperating it in the story. One of the best things about Fan-fics, is that you can mess up everything, and no one cares. Where as if you do that, and try to get it puplished.....forget it.

Have any of you heard of Elfwood?

It's I guess technically an art gallery (the art is really good too) but they have a section called "Wyvern's Library" that has posted stories, in any genre imaginable.

You can do texts searches, or you can take pre-set tours where other people have gone and selected different stories for you (usually along a specific theme).

Dear Forum,

I was browsing around the internet and lo-behold, I stumble onto these forums where I spotted St Rose's link address as a recommendation:
http://members.aol.com/silkwisper/Page1.html

Thank you Linda1. Though I'm sorry to say at this present time our site only has two issues a year (possibly two to four online novels posted in that time), our goal is to manage at least six a year.

At present (until Sept/Oct 2001) we have two stories (medieval -- Greenwood, and a contemporary -- Interior Motives) aired and I'd be honored to hear readers thoughts on either/both.

I humbly thank you again Linda1, for the recommendation of our site, and hope you and other readers will continue to find St Rose an enjoyable place to visit.

Warmest Thanks,

Marie Dillon
