This bridge looks like the other one that was posted. This particular one is the Bridge of the Americas that spans the Panama Canal on the Pacific side.

Here is a typical rural view of one of the little closes just off Hampstead Heath.



I doubt any house near here will be less than £1 million. One nearby is advertised for £6.5 million at the moment, a 7 bedroom detached house. One reason I don't live there, probably the only one actually.

It is still cold and very wet here and having been out this morning to Shopmobility (very quiet as presumably most people were not going out to get wet and cold) I am home and staying in with heating turned on.

Many of the "wine bars" that have sprung up in Britain in the last couple of decades would be more aptly called swine bars. But this place has been around for generations, and despite its grotty looks it's still as good as ever. There aren't many places that still serve sherry from the wood.

Gee Copago I'm not sure. This was taken at a small town dump in bear country. I'm a city boy and they don't have bears in the city dump. There was a fellow that worked for the town working there and I guess he chases them away. They don't normally come close to people since they have all that garbage to chose from, people would be last on their list of things to eat. Of course if you approached them covered in bacon grease you could have a problem.

Could someone advise me how to use the Quote feature, I can't seem to figure it out. If there is a how to somewhere point me in that direction.

My lily garden is really coming on, these are my favorites. Such a vivid color of yellow with the tint of red on the inside.

My kitty Wanda passed away this morning. She will be much missed. Here's a pic of her with my older daughter:

This building is only a short walk from the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

The vessel in the foreground is one of the many tour boats that are available for hire.



That bridge in Panama is eerily similar- do you know when it was built? 'Our' Coathanger was completed in 1932.

The Panama Bridge was built in 1962. There is another similar bridge -- Goethals Bridge. It connects Staten Island to New Jersey. It was built in the 30s.

Being a tad lazy, I decided that I'd give you a pic of my computer area 'warts and all'. It's a better depiction of where I spend a good bit of my day than a tidied up version would be, anyway.

Did a little shop yesterday (what's new,) and got so exhausted we had to go for a cuppa in the Four Seasons Hotel(very posh). The table decorations etc are well known. This is a lovely show of peonies near my seat.

The ducks that Natasha is waiting to feed can be lured into the back rooms of the house with a bread trail, then we chop off their heads and cook `em up!
