I mean, when you think about it. Are you only considering novels? Short stories? Comic books? Comic strips?

While we're on that subject by the way, who else agrees that Bill Watterson (creator of Calvin and Hobbes) is truly a genius in his own way? Not only were his cartoons funny, but his characters were endearing and his cartoons always had a bit of a hidden meaning that impacted the human condition in some way.

By the other way, can I get a hooray for Terry? (he does such a good job)

Welcome Otis! (or as I understand it..welcome back!)
So far the subject has been limited to books, but only 'cus it was the only thing posted.

I say let's fire this puppy up and include all print media! Unles of course it's more of a current events type of thought, we already have a place for that.

I love Calvin & Hobbes! Who couldn't possibly relate!

Thanks for answering my message! I was feeling excluded, because no one was responding to anything I was posting! But now I feel welcome again!

I agree. I think we should crank it up. First of all, the quality of Calvin & Hobbes is such that it should, nay, MUST be included as some of the best literature of this century. And it's real funny too! Watterson did a great job of this comic.

Hey, who doesn't love C&H?! Watterson does have books of his comics. So technically you could still be discussing books here.

Yeah, I know, but then someone could argue that because it's relly a comic strip, it shouldn't count as a book.

But I wasn't trying to make a point about Calvin & Hobbes as a valid book, I was trying to point out that I think Calvin & Hobbes is a great work of literature, and isn't that what we are really discussing here?
