Well, the year is done. The results have been tallied. The spectators are holding their collective breaths just bursting with anticipation about who will be the final victor for the 2007 FT Trivia Rounds ...

You know what they say ... it's the quiet ones you have to look out for. After an entire year of lurking around very subtly in the vicinity of the top of the pile, GATSBY !!! has come up through the soft underbelly of his competition at the 11th hour and captured the top spot!!

Gatsby finishes the year 2 points ahead of his competitors Mugaboo and Srini who tie for 2nd and 3rd places after having been atop the leaderboard all year long. There are many other respectable showings below that which I will leave for you to review.

For the month of December itself, a newcomer maninmidohio took an impressive 9 points, followed by Gatsby's very good showing of 6 points and nakarinna, denni and brandz_mygirl right behind with 5 apiece.

So, CONGRATULATIONS AGAIN!!! to the mighty GATSBY on his tremendous come-from-behind win ... and looking forward to TRounds in 2008.

Yay, bethfay! A very impressive number of points for you in June!

Edited to add that I can think of no one more deserving to be atop that list than the ertstwhile player who is, too !

Nice job, Beth....Must have taken you some time to put this together so I sincerely appreciate your hard work (though would like to say I actually have 8 points in May and not 7 as you put....)

Will be nice if we can maintain this table and convince Terry to give the winner at the end of the year or at the end of 6 months, a badge

Good catch, Srini - the table has been updated to correct the boo-boo in May's total. I'll keep the table updated as we go along for the rest of the year as it is kind of fun to see how things are progressing.

Gosh I won last year, it's embarrassing being in the lead for this year. Still, I can't let Beth get ahead, I'll have to work harder . I'm still not a patch on the 2005 winner - ElfTwinkle was a real expert.

The table has been updated for the final results for June - and I will update this post as the months go on. It will be very easy to do now that it is set up.

That's right Srini! You know what they say - don't ever look back. Actually this is part of my ingenious strategy - I'm lulling you all into a false sense of security.

Let me just interject here and say that I'm not wasting a whole lot of energy getting 'comfy' up there in that tie for the lead . Odds are, I'll be summarily unseated within a day (or less).
But it was fun while it lasted !

Latest update for November is up (and thanks to Srini for doing the monthly totting up for me -- could he be sniffing a possible come-from-behind victory over the ever-dominant Mugaboo?). It looks like it's going to be down to the wire with the triumvirate of Mugaboo, Srini and Gatsby duking it out for TR'er of the Year!!

I'm still missing a set of results from early in December, but the results for 1st place will not be affected regardless. Many congrats to the ever-diligent GATSBY on his win for the overall year ... your large prize winnings will be coming your way very shortly.
