How many pages an hour do you read in a typical fiction book that you enjoy?

I keep seeing people say yesterday they read that book, and today they are reading this book. I am quite jealous.

I have been an active reader as long as i can remember, but i have just as long been an extremely slow reader. They tell me it's that pesky ADD. So anyway i am asking just cause i wonder how much slower i am.

i read about 35 pages in one hour.shhh...don't tell anyone.

Also, do you super fast readers ever tend to forget when you read so fast. Cause i remmeber most all that i read pretty well.

Luckily though, there is a speed reading semianr at my school this week. supposed to be pretty good, come wednesday maybe i will be like you guys

I read extremely quickly - I can get through a 300 page paperback in an afternoon. However, because I do read so fast, if I'm in the slightest bit tired I often find myself having to go back over a couple of pages in order to make sense of it. It only affects me when I am tired though - which tends to put paid to my plans of speeding through to the end of a book late at night.
I just can't read a book slowly - believe me I've tried (usually to save money).

I read fairly slowly. I tell myself that I should try to increase my speed; I'm guessing 45+ pages an hour. Not sure though. Yes I remeber what I read very well.
