I hope it's Kail. I don't know why but something about her just bugs the crap out of me (yes worse than Jen! ).

That was a really stupid move by Mike though. He was safe! Oh well. He should know that Big Brother isn't a game about honesty and loyalty. That usually gets you voted out. In life, sure, but not on Big Brother.

I agree with you nowhere. I hope it's Kail. I also hope Danielle will get HOH this week. It will be ibteresting to see who she puts up.

Well... it looks like that Mike got the boot from the Big Brother house by a resounding 8-2 vote. I did not really care who left, but I think that I might have rathered Kail to leave because she was targeting my girl, Daniele. The HOH competition was very interesting and I thought that it was okay that Dustin won. Amber was ecstatic that he won and started crying again.

Some of my predictions for this week are:

1) Dustin trying to be a suttle HOH and not trying to stir up some trouble.

2) Dustin will nominate Jen and Kail because no one really likes Jen and Kail is still a threat.

3) Everyone will want to get Jen out and she will leave.

Those are just my opinions, but I will definitely go with the flow and I will rewrite in this post later.

I love this show. I think as you said that he will be subtle about HOH this week.
I am glad he got HOH because I think Dick and Danielle will be safe.
I would love for Kail and Zach gets put up and one of them goes. I like to see Jen gone too because she is very selfish.

For some reason, that last eviction didn't interest me much one way or the other. Kail and Mike were/are the "nothing specials" so it seemed to be (pretty much) forgettable, except for that she's a very marginal player and he was a basic mystery. I'm glad Dustin got HoH, too. With Joe gone, he seems like a genuinely solid fellow and I think he pays attention to things quietly and intelligently. That's just a guess, though. He's another one who seems a lot 'under-the-radar' (but, in his case, not TOO much so).

My major gripe, right now, is that annoying "America's Player" dude. Ugh, he drives me NUTS! All those exaggerated facial expressions, that constant hamming it up for the camera, the "phoniness as a lifestyle" routine . Were I in that house, I'd be wondering what he was up to (since he's clearly up to something) in the first two hours! I almost think that Dick, who [Lord help me ] is the houseguest I relate to most and best this season, might be onto something fishy there. LOL - when Eric started talking on Thursday, Dick wisely got up and went into the hall and passed gas a lot . Seemed, to me, a sensible reaction...

Funny comment Gatsby! I totally agree with you about Eric because I always noticed that he seems to love that camera and puts on that phony smile. I kind of want him to leave, but I do not think that he will leave for a while. I was pleased that Mike left because he could become very dangerous later in the game because he was so mysterious.

I think that the character that I relate to the most is Jameka or Jessica, but Daniele is my favorite. I enjoy watching and thinking "What will Dick do next", but he can be a bit annoying and crude.

Also, I am working on a BB8 quiz and will be sending it in soon! I said something that one of the houseguests would say such as "I am not afraid to name drop about celebrities" which would be Dick. I hope you all play it!

Quizking92 I am looking forward to your bb quiz. I hope it will be on this year's big brother. I like Jameka and Danelle. I always am waiting to see what Dick is going to do or say and yes he is annoying. I definitely will play your quiz.

Well, I feel compelled to stick up for Dick here (a little ). Yes, he's annoying - but the gift in him is that he KNOWS he is and lets everyone else know it, too. He's honest, in-your-face and doesn't flower up the situation no matter how much better it would be if he did. Maybe it's my age, but I'd rather deal with people like that in a game like "Big Brother" (or in an office setting, for that matter) than someone who is all 'honeybees and pollen' to your face while, simultaneously, they're sharpening a very large knife to plunge into your back. It'll probably get Dick evicted sooner than later, this demeanor of his, but it'll happen never because he got caught being sneaky. He's too busy being straight-up to ever find time to be very sneaky, so CAN'T get caught since it isn't happening! Were I in that house? Irksome as he is or can be, I'm certain I'd trust Dick heads and shoulders above the rest.

But that's just my opinion on the 'people' in there. It says nothing about any of the others and their personal strategies (since I really don't know if any of them has displayed a strategic effort yet - except Kail, and that was a disaster in both timing and design...). Dick, in my book, is BY FAR the most interesting ~ and, inadvertantly, makes for the "best" TV, too.

I got to say Dick makes this year's Big Brother a lot better. I am always interested in what he is going to do so I hope he stays in the game long.
Who do you guys think Dustin will nominate for eviction?
What are your thoughts about Eric?

I think America's Player Eric will get himself in trouble because he didn't go with the team vote again this week. Nick was evicted and no one could account for the second vote and now Kail got 2 votes.
I am looking forward to see who wins HOH. I hope Jameka wins. It would be interesting to see what she does.

At this point in the game, Who is everyone for? Right now, I am for Jameka.

Hmmm. Looks like (maybe) putting Kail up against anybody means that said anybody is about to get the boot, doesn't it ? It's probably a sensible strategy, in that she's really not such a great player. Why evict HER when she's non-threatening enough to use to get the strong ones ousted?

Several observations after watching this week. I'm starting to 'respect' Dick less and less. I LIKE, still, his direct approach. However, picking fights with people [about something as unnecesary as comparing the love of pets to the love of children - ?] is just combative and out of the realm of the game. And, really, why pick on THAT girl (Amber, I think)? To make her cry? Good grief, the woman cries if a light bulb burns out. Not much of a challenge to get her flustered. Dustin went down a few notches, too, on my "respectability meter". He probably blew the game for himself this week past. I like Tameka, I really do. But I'm not sure her strategy in the house is quite -um- sane. I respect her faith and she seems like a swell person but, let's face it, she's playing the game. God is not doing it for her. But it's her right, naturally, to play the way that suits her best. So I can't knock her much - she's staying true to her path. My big turnaround opinion (and I was impressed) came with Daniele. SHE got mighty smart all of a sudden. I'm thinking she could actually win if she keeps it up. And I think, quite frankly, as the relationship with Dick improves, so do her sensibilities. The best thing that could come out of this season, game/cash aside, is that she and her Dad mend their fences and get a future together. Winning any amount of money would be very secondary to that.

Just my opinion, though. Things change pretty quickly in there ...

Can anyone tell me what happened on Big Brother last night. It was the first ever episode I missed from any season as I was on the road. I tried to tape it but I fooled up the recording on my TV and didn't get it.
Thanks
Trevor

Kail and Jen nominated again. Danielle HOH and the biggest thing of all. An airplane with a tail banner reading Amber adn Eric are liars flew over the house making people suspicious of Eric, Dick and Danielle especially. I think Danielle will put Eric up if one of the nominees gets off the block.

I think Eric got nominated after the POV competition. That's the rumor from a friend subscribed to BB 24-7.

Can we please not post spoilers from BB After Dark or the 'net feed? Pretty please?
I don't think anyone who's been posting here watches anything but the network show (please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong), and it really spoils it to hear that stuff ahead of time. I've stopped reading the BB blog at TVGuide because of that... .

Thank you, Taesma - that's a solid (and good) request. I'm one of those others who don't watch those live feeds. In Gatsbyland, three hours of voyeurism on network TV weekly is quite enough without a bit more . So I'll second that request for not sharing secrets gained from the website.

I suppose those who watch that COULD start a new thread and discuss it - as long as they attach a *spoilers* warning to the title of it? I don't know if it would get much traffic over here, though...

I'm siting here (idly) wondering what sort of contract Eric has with CBS, in terms of money, etc. what with him being their designated "America's Choice" player. Hmmm. It seems the odds are good that he'll get the boot tonight BUT (annoying as he is) he didn't get to play the game according to the way he wanted to play it. Doing the bidding of the voters pretty much "did him in", I'd say. So, potentially, he'll have lost out on the prize based on external directives. I wonder if he'll be able to sue somebody ?

As for me? I'll just be glad to see him (and his irritating haircut/demeanor-in-general) hit the road...

I read on CBS.com that Eric gets paid 10,000 for every five things he does right. I wonder if CBS will tell the house guests that he was playing for America and not himself. I have to wonder what kind of player he would have been on his own...

I've seen this discussion in other places, and the point was brought up that in general, no individuals chances are better than any others' at the beginning--they are all only one out of 14 or 15 or however many it was, can't remember. The second and third place players do win some money, but significantly less than the winner--I think it's $10,000 or $20,000 maybe? Don't quote me on that --but the odds of getting that far aren't great either.
Eric's already won $10,000, I think. Even if he leaves tonight, he's done ok, and better than or as good as all but 3 of the other players.
I'm sure they made him sign a nice fat contract with 428 clause and exceptions and disclaimers in it, so I doubt he'd have much recourse.

I agree, I think that he should have had at least some input into who to vote for, like he has in any of the other challenges. He doesn't have to do all those, but loses his chance at the cash. Maybe they could have imposed some kind of penalty or something for going against America's Choice--fined him or something.
But really, why do the other houseguests think the vote has to be unanimous, fer corn sakes!? Do they not understand what a majority is? That sometimes it might be advantageous to throw in a sympathy vote or something? What a bunch of lemmings!

I did really feel bad for Eric about the whole airplane banner thing. Big Brother really dropped the ball on that one (on purpose perhaps? Hmmm...). They could have easily prevented the players from seeing that. They apparently have people to watch out for those things, because of incidents in past seasons. They've used blindfolds before, why not for this? Supposedly they tried putting bags over the players heads, but they couldn't breathe...um, hello, you won't have much of a show if you suffocate your contestants, lol! Then they made them lay face down, but after the damage had already been done.
Either they let this happen, or they have some particularly dumb producers this year.
Oh, and, didn't any of the houseguests notice that Eric wasn't the only one called a liar on that banner?

Edited to add: Now that I think about it, I don't think 3rd place gets any thing on this show, just first and second...
Now I've confused myself--what show were talking about again?

I agree with you Gatsby. I also feel that even at the beginning of the game, when Eric was given "America's Choice", then I knew he would have no chance to win the game. I knew he would get into trouble sometime.

It is unfair because he couldn't play the game the way he wanted to play but maybe he got a lot of money to be America's Player. I think Eric will get the boot tonight.

Who do everyone think Jessica will nominate? Do you think the former 7 alliance will unite again? Who do you hope gets evicted this week?

Of all of them left, I think Jessica is still the biggest mystery to me. She seems just "there" - hasn't really made a dent in much of anything . Well, aside from sounding like she's sucked on one too many helium balloons, that is - but other than that, I have NO idea what to think of her. So I don't know who she might pick. I'd like to see her go after Eric (that nasty business with Amber's secret had NOTHING to do with being "America's Player", it seems to me, so I think he's just a vile snake [by nature, not assignment] now ). I'd say it's time to see ol' Dick on the block, too. Just to cool his jets a little . A very interesting trick, at this point, would be to see Dick AND Daniele nominated together. That would rattle the house to its very foundation, flimsy a structure as it happens to be already...

I have no idea who Jessica will target, though. It'll be interesting to find out.

I missed Thursday but I did read the recap and it went just as I expected it to go. I'm not suprised about what happened. Eric is very convincing and I think he'll have no problem getting out of this one.

I think Dick dug his grave (disapointing because I liked him). He's too arrogant and angry, and it's not going to get him in the top 2. It may not even get him past next week.

I know... I liked Dick at first too, but with the latest out burts I am afraid he will go... Danielle though saying that she can't stand anyone in the house is not good either... I think Dick had a stragety, but he blew it becuase he blows up too fast. Danielle on the other hand is a very good player, so the question is who should really go this week???
