I haven't watched BB for such a long time, but I'm really glad to hear Dick and Dani are the final two!

I haven't watched for many weeks now because I have to watch on the computer and for some reason the BB episodes stall every couple minutes. I will sure be watching this finale, though! It promises to be the best one yet!

Darn it ! Nice as it was to get such a call, I was on the phone (long-distance) and missed "Big Brother" on Thursday. It was on, though, so I saw Zach gabbing away with Julie Chen - which pretty much clued me in as to who the final two were. *Sigh* At this point, I just don't know who it'd please me more (less?) to win. Dick, I'm thinking, since I was on his side throughout most of the season. If I had to venture a guess, it'd be that he'll be victorious based on nothing more than rude, brutish, in-your-face frankness (and that he really has tried to mend fences with his daughter). While Daniele is smart, pretty, more "cuddly" [if you like that sort of cuddling, that is - I think she's hiding a rather dubious character underneath all that "I'm so damaged/vulnerable" schtick, myself ] she's in the finals, I'd say, totally because she won so many challenges. Her Dad is in there because he figured out how to stay there (unpleasant as it was, very often, to watch him make it happen). So, I reckon, that makes his game more commendable, more bold, more hard-fought. In only my opinion, of course.

But, again, they BOTH win already. Actually the big Donato winner is that brother/son who stayed home . HE'll get to reap the family jackpot without having had to embarrass himself on TV all summer...

Ugh.
Pretty disappointed here. Ah, well.
I think the only reason I really want to watch the finale is to see what happens when they reveal the whole AmERICa's player thing. Should be interesting. Or not.

I'm hoping Dick will win simply because I'd love to see the look on Daniele's face if he does. As she said before, she played the way she did so that she'd have him there in the final two because she thinks no-one would vote for him. Maybe she's changed her mind after spending all this time with him, but we'll see. And they have to spend this remaining time together alone--I'm betting he finally drives her over the edge.
I also am interested in hearing their speeches to the jury about why they should win...

Lol, true. But then, he's probably had to hear more than a few things about how his dad and sis are comporting themselves. I'm not sure he got off scott-free.

Of the two left, who do you guys think SHOULD win? I think that Daniele deserves to win because she played the game the best. She was one of the best competitors in competitions and was one of the best manipulators (I'm not saying that's a bad thing). So what do you guy's think?

This is the big night for Big Brother. To answer your question Strange, I hope Dick wins but I think you are right in that Danielle deserves it. Go Dick Go.

*Sigh* Well, so much for Season 8, eh? I just knew Dick had it in the bag (a 7-2 vote was even closer than I expected, quite frankly, as I thought the only one who'd finally vote for Daniele would be that whacky Jen ). I think there were only a short list of "interesting" things about last night, from my minor persepective on matters as they unfolded. One was that it seemed like Jessica was almost mad at Eric for that "America's Player" assignment [maybe it was just surprise?]. I mean, really, irritating as he was he didn't deserve her snortiness about it ~ he couldn't exactly reveal himself in the middle, 'show-mance' or not . Dick's mother/Daniele's grandma looked slightly scary, too, I thought . And that poor sheepish son/brother? The family looked entirely thrilled to be at the microphone, didn't they ? And, even though it seems like such old news now ~ the reunion between Daniele and Nick had about as many sparks as an underwater firecracker, or so it seemed to me. Alas.

Follow-ups on these folks might be interesting. Will the fences continue to mend at the Donato house? I'd say that's shaky (but, of course, it all depends on if Dick takes Dani with him as he 'tours the world' [as he's threatened to do ]). And will Eric and Jessica waddle off like a pair of happy ducks into the sunset? I'd say no ... since one of them talks funny and the other one acts spastic. With all due respect for future 'ducklings', I hope they find more suitable partners. And, finally, somewhere there is some unsuspecting family thinking it might be "neat" to hire Jen as a nanny, I'll bet. If you ask me, that'd be a bad move. Once again I'm back to my original feelings about that one: more than several umbrellas short of anybody's version of Mary Poppins .

Fun season! It was a kick hearing everyone's thoughts as it went here. Maybe we'll meet again next summer?

Well it's finally over and I am glad to see that Dick won. Although his methods were abominable they worked and he deserved the win (at least over Daniele - even if she was the winningest houseguest). I doubt his personality will change much despite being given a huge gift of money, but I would hope that the repairs to his and Daniele's relationship stick and even improve now that they are outside of the house.

Eric and Jessica. He'd be lucky to still have her after being freed from sequester, but she'd be smart to just let her summer fling end now. Don't get me wrong, I believe his feelings for her are genuine but she could do better.

Jen, who will hire you now? Charlie Sheen, maybe?

Amber, take some time to read the dictionary. If you get stuck you can always turn the page to learn what any word means!

Dustin, go shopping and get some new shirts, preferably crew-necks in any color besides grey!

Jameka, Girl, you just keep doing what you've been doing. You held your head high and played with dignity. I am not a religious person at all but it gave you strength and perspective; things we all could all use in this great big game of life.

Edited to add:

Now that summer's over we can all look forward to other, perhaps more entertaining reality shows like The Amazing Race, maybe we'll even get see some of BB8's players appear on that someday!
