In the name of adding extra interest to the themes threads, it's thought that a slide show could be made of photos that have been shown over the week. PhotoBucket can create an attractive slide show, so we can take advantage of that. A link to the slide show will be included in the closing post of the week's theme.

Photos displayed in a theme would need copying into a FunTrivia PhotoBucket account where the slide show can be created. If you would rather not have your photo copied into this account for inclusion in the slideshow, you could either say so here or via private message.

Sounds like a nice idea. Are you thinking of using the larger format pictures (if available) or the versions scaled to fit here?

It'll be the photos scaled to fit in the posts. File sizes have to be considered in order to cater for all connection speeds. It also means that the photos can be copied and used as just as they are for the slide show.

Just a short note,maybe someone might read it. If a picture posted in a themes thread is smaller than the normal posting size it probably wont be included in the slideshow at the end of the thread. I don`t pick and choose pictures to use as a matter of course but smaller pictures come out too blurry when in a large,or even medium,slide show so I don`t normally bother to include them. It`s a shame really because they are good photos..............

If we could I would put in an idea for a "pets" theme. Or maybe the cute and fuzzy animals are just controlling my mind...

I don't see why not. We can put suggestions here and I expect Roos might drop by to read them.

I have used (to varying degrees) the suggestions of Ren and Romeomikegolf so far so suggestions are certainly welcome and used Lioness.

I'd like to suggest a couple of our senses:

Touch
Smell

Sunsets/sunrises
Numbers
Water

Just a few that come to mind right now.

A few possible 'themes' come to mind:-

ornaments
plants & flowers
brightly coloured objects
anything old (must be over 100 years old)
birds and butterflies
bridges
aircraft - including views from planes
signs - road, warning, temporary, etc
furniture
cars, trucks and buses
people - but not family members
landscapes and seascapes
buildings
a view from your home window
phone booths and post boxes

I certainly did Ren. You first suggested 'Time" and there was a time theme.

Due to other commitments, Roos is unable to continue looking after the Theme threads. Either Sue or myself can do from now on but we would appreciate it if everyone would keep making suggestions for themes. We'll take note of the ones already here but I'll start a new thread with the title of 'Theme suggestions' for future use. We'll try to use everyone's suitable subjects as the weeks go by.

I won't continue with the slide show but may bring it back at a later date.
