Sorry the topic couldn't be more specific but I'm at a loss to even a clue.

I had a toy as a kid that was about five panels of plastic that was joined by strips of ribbon and when you held them up, so all in a row, and flipped over the first one they would all flip right to the bootm.

I was kind of thinking it had a kind of biblical name but apart from that I have no idea.

I can get you one, Jill! I gave Sue one for Xmas(or Santa did oops). I think you might be thinking they are called Jacobs Ladders. I don't really know. Do you want one?

Actually I don't want one, I wanted to make one Thought it might look nifty with some pictures attached.

Now that I know what they're called I just found some instructions ( here if any of the other paper crafters out there are interested)

Thanks Ren!

I think Jacob's ladders are two wires close together that get farther apart at the top and sparks travel up between them.

Or perhaps there are just two kinds.

Oh , how interesting, all these different versions. This is what Santa got Sue Jacob's ladder
I also have a vague memory of a trick where you fold and cut newspaper and it opens up into a long ladder. Does anyone know that one? My grandpa called that Jacob's Ladder too.

Ah, I see what she is talking about. I used to love those things as a kid.

I remember those, they made that therapeutic clacking noise as they hit one another.
