Hey to everyone that's reading this I'm a newbie so erm... be nice!

A FEW HOURS TILL HARRY POTTER 7!!!!!!!!!! Grrr I'm kind of annoyed with myself for jumping on the HP bandwagon, it was the one thing that made me adamant that I WASN'T going to be a fan, purely because everyone else was a fan, and now I'm such an obsessive. Still, they're really good, so I suppose I can excuse myself!

Anyway, hi eveybody and you all have very good taste cuz this is a fantastic site hehe!

Hello and welcome from Nova Scotia!!

I think that I'm in the same boat as you. I didn't want to become one, and I would have never bought the books, but my sister bought me the first 4, and now I'm hooked

Enjoy the forums

Hello fluffygoodness! I'm sure you'll have fun here on funtrivia. I just joined last month, so I was in the same boat as you not too long ago. As for me, I'm not into the Harry Potter books.

You are so lucky! My sister has been bought a copy today and I'm having to sit here WATCHING her reading it and knowing that so many other people are doing the same thing *sigh*

Note to self- must remember to get a life beyond Harry Potter at some point...

Thanks to everyone for all your warm welcomes, I think I'm going to like the forums!

Welcome fluffygoodness ! Yep, Mr. Potter fever is certainly high around here right now - you'll find lots of kindred spirits. I've personally never read a page of them, but the enthusiasm is contagious. Hoping you enjoy your visits to The Forums!

'fluffygoodness' - now there's a name could come straight from Harry Potter!
In fact maybe it does, but like Gatsby I've never read a word.
Enjoy the forums and enjoy your Harry Potter.

That goes for me too, Fluffygoodness. I have never read a Harry Potter book but still bow to the phenomenon - people seem to love them. Your name reminds me more of something Ian Fleming would've come up with, I think [like Truly Scrumptious.]
Welcome to the forums!

Love the name by the way.

Hehe I was eating cookies at the time which was how I came up with the name - I wanted yummyfluffygoodness but it was too long grr. I used to love that musical by the way, I went to see it once as a treat with school at the west end and it's seriously the best thing I've watched on stage. I can't watch the film anymore though, it just makes me cringe.

Last night I set my alarm for 5 so I could read some of the book before my sister woke up, and so many people die! Although I was probably most upset when hedwig died, which is pathetic but I'm an animal lover and it was just so sad to read. Ooh that can't be counted as a spoiler can it? Oh well, sorry if it was.

By the way I know all about soggy parts of England I'm living in one! If it rains for one more day I will get VERY angry! Still, at least I'm not flooded. I've probably just jinxed myself now...

Hope everyone's having a good time my ssiter's just finished school so the whole family's together and it's fantastic!

One of my boys begged me years ago to give HP a chance and finally I yielded to him and to some friends and have enjoyed them very much, so I know just how you feel. Ironically now that same son thinks they're stupid!
