After noticing that one of our ladies has an interesting new signature I thought we could post our current ones here as as it could differ shortly when people want a change. So copy and paste your current one for us.

My current one is "Debate politics with a fern. If you lose, refuse to water it."

It sort of appealed to me.

Perhaps I had better explain for those who wonder why it needs be pasted in the thread when it shows at the bottom of the posts. What happens when you change your signature is that this new signature is applied to every post you have made, ever, not just to new posts.

I just thought this was funny and can't help but see how true it is.

Mine currently is: He who dies with the most toys is still dead.

Just saw mine and thought it was funny!

"Cogito ergo spud. - I think, therefore I yam"

No doubt it will have changed again by next week!

I chose my signature because it describes my way of mind and it is in one of my favorite songs and movies.

Which is why I suggested pasting in the post, if anyone looks at this thread after you change it they would assume you were talking about the one showing.

quizking92 , if you change your signature anytime we won't know what you had!

Since my ancestral background is very heavily nautical related, an old whaling chantey called "Stormalong" is one of my all-time favorites. Stormy is a much-loved captain who has just died and the song tells of his burial at sea. Really, really pretty and moving. This particular line finishes as: "to a place I know, where the best of sailors go, that's where my captain will be."

At the moment its - I have to exercise early in the morning, before my brain figures out what I'm doing (it just suits my thoughts to exercise )
But I have had Today is the Tomorrow you worried about yesterday...and all is well (which is a pretty good motto to live by)
and I have also have Death is but the next great adventure (Albus Dumbledore)
I'm going to have to think of a new one soon

I think mine is one of the truest things that has ever come out of the human mouth. Even if it was written by Victoria Wood.

Funnily enough I just read the one that explains my screen name last night so may go with that in future, although my current one is possibly my favourite quote from Seinfeld, maybe anywhere.

"I don't even mind the word manure. It's newer, which is good, and a ma in front of it. Ma-Newer."

This was from a scene in Central Park and one of George's many stock chat up lines.

Since I am a quilter, thought I'd give some free advice!

Quilting tip: I use Bohin needles, size 10. The smaller the needle, the smaller the stitch.

Previous: "Let no man thirst for a good beer" ~~Samuel Adams

Current as of July 28, 2007 (actually has been in use for the past two weeks):

"Patriotism means to stand by the country. It does not mean to stand by the president."~~Theodore Roosevelt

However, my new signature is a truncated version of this:

Patriotism means to stand by the country. It does not mean to stand by the President or any other public official save exactly to the degree in which he himself stands by the country." (Theodore Roosevelt)

I just copied and pasted what would fit; naturally giving credit to Theodore Roosevelt.

Edited to add: When I switched my avatar to the Rottie at the left, I decided that I needed a good quote to match my strong Rottie. Besides, would anyone dare haggle with that Rottie?

My current signature is:

I'm the type of girl that will burst out laughing in dead silence because of something that happened yesterday.

And I chose it because, well, it fits me.

My new current signature is this:
"...better than before...better, stronger, faster!" - SMDM

It's from Oscar Goldman's opening speech on The Six Million Dollar Man: "We can make him better than he was before....better, stronger, faster!"
I chose it because, in one way or another, we are all striving to be better than before, and also because I'm trying to focus my mind on bionics at the moment, so I can write #100.

To steal a phrase I read on here somewhere recently, I'm a 'technopeasant' so would some kind person please tell me how to actually set up a signature? I can't find the "thingy" to type it into. (Then all I have to do is think of something witty lol)

I use this one because I have a bit of an interest in computers. It says nothing about me, apart from perhaps showing the sort of silly thing I find amusing.

Click on “My Home” at the top of the forum index (or at the top of the thread that you’re reading). Then click on “Edit”, to the right of “Basic Profile : Personal information, email, password, etc.”. Then you'll get a box for typing a signature (and other boxes for other information if you want to give it).

I didn't have one, but I have now. I chose it because I'm the biggest daydreamer going.....and an optimist.

This is it: Optimist: Daydreamer more elegantly spelled. Mark Twain

Edited to add sig to post.
