Didn't intend it to be, sorry.

Just honestly didn't read every post in the thread, I DID use the quick reply function.

I would have thought that, in order to contribute effectively, and appropriately to a thread, one would be required to read it through first. Making a remark like that was completely out of order, and not in keeping with the FT policy of respect for others here.

Well, I got the gist of the thread by what was all written on Page 2 and honestly wasn't really intending to change my signature again. I admit I was a little lazy in not going back and reading the first page (not as if it was an 8 page thread!) but am usually doing many other things at the same time and don't necessarily always have the time to read every single post of every single thread.

Please accept my apology.

I don't think you quite understood. It was the 'Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah' rudeness in the remark that caused the objection, not whether or not you had read the thread.

I know. On the other hand, though, I thought it was kind of a bit nagging for her to write that message again after I went ahead and copied my signature into the post like she originally asked.

Plus, I didn't mean the "Just for Sue" comment in there to be anything but a little bit of humor. After all, I thought we had a bit of fun repartee regarding the whole screwdriver vs. power tool debate (not to dredge THAT up again, though! ) a little while back.

I'm never intending to seriously upset anyone here. The worst you can really accuse me of is attempting to inject a little levity into the Community!

Although I do admit that sometimes I might take it a little too far. Sorry if I do, I really mean no grievous offense.

Sorry, one more edit/add. I DO really appreciate you (ren33) and Sue's very biting sense of humor at times. Keeps this Site very entertaining.

"Pay attention when a friend says goodbye, they may be saying farewell."

Picked it up from a friend of mine on a forum I used to frequent. Seemed very appropriate, and something we had not ought to forget.

I had posted my previous one along with my new one, but now ( )I understand what you're saying Sue. Here goes again-

I think mine is:

"What would Jesus do for a Klondike Bar?"

But I don't do a good job of keeping track of that stuff. So I'll look at it after this posts and see...

I'm currently sporting a Juvenal:

"Never does Nature say one thing and Wisdom another."

Reason: I believe it and it fits nicely with my user name.

I've changed mine today to this:

"I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant." -- Robert McCloskey

Found the quote on the Internet and it seemed so perfect for a lot of 'online communication' moments.

I always liked that quote in the movie, and I a big fan of history. I like the stories about figures such as Julius Caesar and Alexander the Great.

I never planned on changing mine at one point, but did, and hence the reason Sue asked us to post it in the thread, as after time, you may indeed change it.

It's a favourite line from a favourite song -

"I got soul, but I'm not a soldier"

- it speaks volumes for those that care to listen/interpret it. =)

Question: How do you make your 'signature' (or anything else) a different color, or font size?

I do not like impatient people- can you tell?

Veronikkamarrz, the various effects are done with UBB code. Some that are easy to use are [i ]italics[/i ] and [b ]bold[/b ]
I have modified these by way of example- you will have to remove all the spaces.

These can be typed in, or you can use the 'Instant UBB Code' that appears under each post.

Thanks, ozzz2002! Of course there will be a period of trial and error, during which I may have another stupid question!

I have just changed mine to:

Time. Line? Time is not made out of lines, time is made out of circles, that is why clocks are round! - Caboose (I don't know what Caboose is, I assume it is something from Halo as the person I heard it from is obsessed with halo.)

It does follow a logical thought pattern...

Currently my mind is unattended. Please leave a message, and should it ever return, it may get back to you.

I have changed my signature, but this is my current one, and it works for me!

I just added my signature to day. Wasn't sure how to do it until I read this thread, or where to find the page to enter it. Anyway I hope it worked.

Jordondog,
I have to be honest with you. I found this quote in the Readers Digest website. I have read so many good ones, on aging, over the years, but I tried to find the right one that suited me. I may be only 51 years old, but that quote is how my grandkids feel about me, especially my almost 14 year old granddaughter (she is the oldest). I just feel that way. If your spirit isn't young, what's the point.
Take Care Jordondog, and the same to everyone else.
