I haven't been out to take photos much lately, how can you be so busy when you're retired?

Here is a photo from our trip to Yellowstone Park. On the way we stopped at Waterton Lake National Park which shares its border with Glacier National Park in the U.S.A. This because we have the longest undefended border in the world between our two countries.

seeing Kapuskasing's kittys made me have to take a picture of my Krista Kitty. She's usually not too keen on getting her picture taken, but she posed nicely inside her kitty-tent for a quick photo.

Congratulations to your son and daughter-in-law, RMG.

Lovely cats, Kapuskasing and Wolfen.

This is an original take on a common English pub name

ANOTHER Pub TT?? Hmmmm.
I am not going out today, we have the "rainbands associated with the recent typhoon", (euphemism for a deluge). I went to a temple in Taipo recently, well actually I spotted it on the way to the wet market to buy a leg of lamb. This is the thingie in the front where you light joss sticks and say a few for your deceased grandma. Not too beautiful, but well it's a local colour pic.

Lovely cats everyone, they are all photogenic however many you take.

Here is a classic view of 1930s modernist houses in Berrylands, Surrey.

Unfortunately most like these have removed the original windows, but at least the rest remains original.

I pass this little squirrel-shaped bird bath a couple of times a week, on my way to Pilates.

I am in the process of 'blitzing' before my daughter arrives on a visit this Thursday. The cat has taken up residence in a box I put there for a moment!

What scenery Argus! ..and so well photographed.

They do water skiing on a lake just down the road from us. I happened to be walking by when some was actually going on.

Miserable and very wet all day today - thank goodness it wasn't like this last week-end when I was camping at the history re-enactment event. Here's another image from this event; these are Knights Hospitaller, also known as the Order of Knights of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem.

I guess I shouldn't post this photo for it only reinforces the stereotypical ideas about the Netherlands. But I'm posting it anyway. It's the mill in my home town, and it was built in 1884.

I love that bird bath, Liz.

This is another bit “Burton’s St Leonards” – Quarry Hill.

Tellywellies that brings back memories for me, I used to go waterskiing every weekend before I came here to live.

Thanks TW, that photo was taken with my old 35mm SLR film camera, they still take great photos.

Another photo from Yellowstone Park, this is Yellowstone Canyon with the falls in the background.

Larger photo

You can see from the color of the rock on the sides of the canyon where the park got its name.

Before you look at the answer, can anyone guess what this impressive entrance is for?

Yes, of course it's an electricity transformer in Hampstead Garden Suburb. What else could have such a majestic style? It's on a tilt as like most it's behind a fence and I had to poke the camera through.

Wolfen, that's a cute picture of your cat; she looks good in that shade of blue.

Picqero, your re-enactment pictures are interesting. My favorites thus far have been the latest one of the knights and the one of the little girl/doctor's assistant. When I get the chance, I'll dig out a couple from a Civil War re-enactment we attended that perhaps you'd be interested to see.

Leau, very nice photo!

The heat down south is not being kind to my gardens.

Here is a spider lily that is withering in the heat.

Here is the shop next door to yesterday's photo. Where you buy the joss sticks to go in the thingie.
