I think she was never really taught manners, then when she was too young, told she's 'all that' and given so much money that she didn't know what to do. So she decided to be an adult before she was mature enough to deal with it and her parents apparently didn't teach her well enough then she fell into the wrong crowd, so you have the current Britney.

I think her mother was too busy seeing her daughter as a money making machine to take the time to teach how to be a decent human. I was just watching CNN and they were talking about Britney's skills as a mother. Is she fit to raise her two sons? We don't know what goes on in her home, but I think that her two boys need to be cared for by a responsible mother, not one who parties all the time.

I am certainly no expert on the life and times of Britney Spears, or others of her ilk, but these words from LadyM Quote:
I think she was never really taught manners, then when she was too young, told she's 'all that' and given so much money that she didn't know what to do.
could describe any young sportsman in most countries of the world.

Sorry Copago - CUB = Cashed Up Bogan. It's also how I refer to my hubby - he's a cubby if ever I met one. Don't get me wrong - I love the guy dearly - but my idea of art is not dogs playing poker!

I'm not sure I believe in such a thing as a lost cause, where people are concerned. However, there are so many people in the world with bigger, and more serious issues than her. People with AIDS. People with sick children. People living in the streets. People starving to death. People being abused. Why would anyone spend time worring about poor little Brit, shaving off her hair or stealing from a store they wouldn't even let most of us walk into without sneering. I just think there are bigger things to worry about. I feel that every person has the right to be cared for, and that isn't to say that she shouldn't count, but to be honest, there are just a lot more people out there who don't have the means to get help the way that she does.

I am glad I wasn't the only one confused about "CUBby". Too much money, too little talent, and yes-too much "trailer park". Sorry if anyone reading this lives in one, but the comparison has been around for ages and I know it doesn't apply to everyone. I agree with Roofoo, wrap your mind around something that really matters. Do you think the people involved in the Minnesota bridge collapse care if Britney is wearing her wig and underwear today?

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/20077510/Apparently she has tried to get one of her son's teeth whitened and feeds the kids gum, chips and (soda) pop.

I agree with Roofoo - there are way more people out there with far more serious stuff going on in their lives that poor little Britney. Unfortunately, this kind of rubbish is what's dominating people's minds. The Minnesota bridge collapse may be the talk of the water cooler today, but Britney will be back tomorrow, and the souls lost in the bridge collapse will remain lost to the souls whose lives are blissfully and ignorantly unaffected.
It's unfortunate, however, that serious issues don't make the front page of, well, anything. When was the last time you saw a starving child on the front page of a glossy magazine? Or how about the plight of AIDS victims in Africa on the front of a major newspaper? Rape statistics of lesbian women in South Africa? Political prisoners in South America? Government oppression in China? Quite frankly, how do you even learn anything about what's happening to people living in North Korea?
Those may be rhetorical questions, but the big question is - How do we get journalists to write the stories that really matter, AND, how do we bring them to the attention of the general public? I know that these topics just aren't "fashionable" or even "feel good", but the truth is, they exist.
Any ideas on this one?

I for one have never bought magazines.I wiil pick them up when at the doctors office, but they don't get my money!I prefer buying a good book by an author who has made the effort to create something worthwhile to read. She really didn't stand a chance with her parents seeing her as an income rather than a human being. So with that said...what parenting skills has she to call on to raise her own 2 boys? She's rich-white-trash who can afford a nanny.Too much money and too little talent. Didn't the Beatles sing..."Can't Buy Me Love"...and Dire Straits..."Money for Nothing"
