Well, I am hoping and praying for the people of Jamaica that somehow Hurricane Dean won't affect them. It is so sad to look at the news and see something terrible about to happen. It seems that Jamaica has a good plan in place to help the people before the hurricane comes. I just want to let the people of Jamaica know that the thoughts and prayers of my friends and I will be with them in this terrible time.

China is in the grips of a typhoon too, more than 900,000 people have been evacuated from their homes.

Let's hope that both storms pass over quickly without too much loss of life.

Dean has passed by Jamaica at this point, and now is heading for Cancún, Mexico. As of 11am EDT, it is some southwest of the Cayman Islands. Dean is projected to make its final landfall in Mexico, and not on the south Texas coast as originally planned, but hurricanes can change course quickly.

My thoughts are with them all. How awful not to be able to do anything about it but wait and hope for the best.

My thoughts and prayers are with the people of China and any country or people that may be affected by Hurricane Dean.

All good wishes to all of the countries affected and pray that it will all be over in a short amount of time.
