Hi,
I'm trying to figure out the best category to put my quiz on The Duggar's. For those who watch TLC, would hopefully know what show I'm talking about.
At 1st I was going to try adding it in the D-G area under Television, but it says the section is full at the moment. At the moment the title I have is Amy's Duggar's Quiz.
Thanks,
Amy

I tried googling what you have, but had no success. Are you sure you're spelling the name correctly?

What did you type in? Try typing in The Duggar's and you will find about them.
One of the episodes of the show is called
"16 Children And Moving In" and it airs on TLC.

Here is a link you can go to on the episode I just mentioned above. There are other episodes. That's just the one I mentioned.

Gotcha. I'd try under either [Quizzes : Celebrities : Celebrities C-D] or [Quizzes : People : Other People].

Also, make sure you drop the apostrophe

AmyR2,

A quiz on the Duggars belongs in the People Category, not Celebrities.

This is weird, now it wont even let me try and change it to the correct category.

I wasn't exactly sure if I should put it in the tv category since most of the questions
come from different episodes of the show on TLC, and the quiz I did on Little Peple Big World, have questions from the show and some just on The Roloff's themselves.

Some of my questions in this quiz I'm doing come from this one episode "16 Children And Moving In".

Thanks for all the help,
Amy

Well, it depends on what the quiz is about, then. If the quiz is about the actual people, it goes in People. If the quiz is about the show, it goes in TV. The very best thing to do is to read the category guidelines for the categories that seem most likely -often your question will be answered there.

There was a thread in the Forums (17 children) not long ago, about the Duggar family. It is a program featured on the TLC network.
If I had to guess, I'd say People. Since the series isn't on a magor network, that could affect the chances there.
I hope it finds a place soon. I'm anxious to play it!

I'm trying to get a new quiz about Mikhail Baryshnikov to show up under Dancer, or Dancers. I've tried People, Celebrities, and Entertainment, and none is giving me a Dancer sub-head.

This was under humanities and performing arts.

Not sure if its for a specific dancer, though.

People I think, would be the best place. The Dance category in Humanities is not really for quizzes on individual people, unless the quiz is very dance specific (the choreography of specific parts, that kind of thing). If you are asking questions about his life and career, go to People. A People editor can point you to the exact right place - I don't think there is a Dancer subcategory, but your quiz might be the one to make that critical mass!.

I have noticed that it has been put in celebrities A-B. I think that is probably the best place for it.

I thought I'd ask this here rather than start a new thread with the same title.
Any suggestions on where a quiz on "famous mice" would go?
i don't mean real mice, but mice from lots of sources, books, films, music etc with maybe one real one if there is such a thing as a famous one.
I don't think animals is the right place, but I'm not sure where it would go?

Take a look at the guidelines for Thematic Fun in General - this sounds like it would fit there.

Rowena, Entertainment by Themes may also be an option.

There is a Celebrity Penquin quiz online in Entertainment by themes...famous penquins from books, films, cartoons etc.

No problem..the mice bit has so many options. There are the "Cinderella" mice, "Stuart Little", The Three Blind Mice, etc. I am sure you get the idea.

I had the questions lol, I just needed a home for them! I've gone for thematic in General though as there are "real" mice too, not just fictional ones.

Hi - I would really appreciate some advice from the experts on the most suitable category for my first quiz.

I'm writing a quiz on some curious and fun connections between Australian politics and pop music.

Some examples of its subject matter:
A former prime minister who managed a rock band;
Musicians elected to parliament;
Political satire in pop songs;
Pop bands with with politically inspired names, etc.

So - which category would be the best fit? It's very much Aussie-based. Any ideas would be welcome.

Try this one:
    General : Australia Specific
It crosses so many boundaries, this is as good a place as any!

Hello, I have another one. Where would a quiz on the history of Ellis Island go? It would include questions about the immigration center, its use during war time, how it came into government possession, and so on. Would it be history, geography, or world?
