The Boxcar Children
When the Alden's parents die, they run away to an old caboose to escape the mean baker who threatens to take the youngest, Benny, away and their supposedly mean grandfather. They survive in the woods and work togeth to build a home in a boxcar. When Violet, 10, gets sick they take her to a doctor who nurses them and reveals them to their grandfather- the not so mean man.
