What is everyone's opinions on this television show that ran for seven or eight seasons? I just started watching this show and absolutely love it! My favorite character is Pheobe because she is funny and confident in herself. I like to watch the re runs on TNT, but I still do not know that much about this show.
I know that the Charmed Ones consist of Piper, Pheobe and Paige, but it used to be with Prue, but I think that she died. Piper got married to that Whitelighter/Elder (forgot his name) and had two kids. Pheobe has her own column at the local newspaper. Also, Nick Lachay guest starred on this show.

I have watched ALL the re-runs, also on TNT, several times. I have only seen a couple shows in it's original slot on prime time. I had to keep watching over a year and 1/2 or so for it to get back to the pilot show with Piper,Phoebe, and Prue. I find it very entertaining, but didn't care much for the character Paige after she replaced Prue. I won't tell you why she came on the show, though. That would ruin it for you. I agree with you that Alyssa Milano is good in her part and the Whitelighter's name is Leo, by the way. If you can, I encourage you to watch it long enough to get back to the beginning. Even if you've seen more recent episodes, I think you'll enjoy knowing the entire story. It's odd because I generally watch very little TV, but a lot of my friends kept talking about it and my curiosity made me turn it on. I'm glad I did!

Thanks so much jordandog for the good wishes. Now, I remember the name Leo as Piper's husband. Also, I know that Prue was killed or died by the hands of a demon. I have seen random episodes from different seasons, so I do not know what is going on that much. I am thinking about buying the DVD for all of the seasons, but it must be very expensive! I think that Paige is okay, but she is definitely not my fsvorite character.
Also, I have been watching some of the Season Seven episodes and I absolutely Kaley Cuaco AKA Billie. She is so cute and I like her character. Even though, it looked like her sister was trying to make her go bad!

I used to watch it the first few seasons and really enjoyed it, but my attention waned. I've seen newer episodes here and there but haven't enjoyed them as much. I don't really care for Paige much, but I think it has more to do with not liking Rose McGowan than not liking the character. I think it just got too complicated and soap-opera-y for me. I liked it better when the girls never knew what they were doing. P.S. Funny, as I was checking out the show just now on IMDB I noticed a guy I went to high school with (Søren Oliver) appeared on the show once. LOL! Haven't thought of him in years; he was quite the actor.

Recently started watching it- going through methodically and now most of the way through the first season. I'm enjoying it, it's cute and entertaining, occasionally a little hammy but otherwise good quality and likable characters. No comment on whether powers would really work like that, lol;) Love the house.

Taesma, I agree with you totally on two points you made. Didn't realize it until I saw what you said. 1) It's not Paige I dislike. It's Rose McGowan, too "simpering". 2) I also liked it when they had no clue what they were doing. All in all though, I do enjoy the show and, Yaabiriah, I LOVE the house too! Maybe because mine is 130 years old and has some neat details in it.

My sister was the one who turned me onto Charmed. I didn't start watching it until the sixth season. Now I own all of them, except of course for season eight (it releases 9/11). I love the show. All though toward the end of the seventh season it got a little uninteresting for me. I love Paige. I think she is a great witch. And, I think it was unfair that her powers never advanced or grew like the other two. I think it is a great show and keep on watching.

I have noticed while watching some of the episodes of Charmed that the most interesting episodes were in the very middle in my opinion. Probably around seasons four and five was where it was the best. Right after Prue left the show (I was never a big fan of hers). The episode that I want to see the most is the first episode. Is it a good one?

I totally agree quizking92. I like the show much better after Prue left. The very first episode is a good one. I liked it anyway.

Now, see, I rather liked Prue. I liked the fact that there was one who was more serious and cautious about the whole thing. They needed a mommy, she sort of filled that role a bit, I thought. Just my opinion, of course.

Well, I did not see that many of the episodes with Prue in them, but I thought that she was kind of controlling and very bossy over her other sisters. When Prue left the show, Piper kind of turned into the mother over Pheobe and Paige.

I have not really watched Charmed in a while because I have been so busy, so I am so confused about the plot developing. Also, I do not really like the episodes with Prue. Also, I am not a big fan of Paige, either, but love Alyssa Milano as Pheobe. I should realy write into Ask Phoebe...

I love charmed but I don't like Prue because she was always very controlling. After she left, the show's mood lightened and it was more fun. There is a difference between understanding the danger they were in and just being uptight.

I'm into the second season (P3H2O)and yes I totally recommend going back and watching the first episodes. I appreciate Prue. She might be a little bossy but it's clear she is like that because she's so caring and careful, after all, her name IS Prudence:) I find her quite sweet. We all love Phoebe, she's a delight, and we adore Leo. Piper is being immature and unreasonable re Leo, she needs to be a lot more cool about it and proud of him and take joy in what they do have.

I love Charmed! I watch the re-runs over and over again! My mother can even remember the whole plot of an episode just from watching about a minute of one, honestly! Sometimes she even remembers the sub-plots as well. I can't think how many times I've watched the series because I never seem to tire of it at all!
