Ok. These have to be my two favorite authors I'm just interested in knowing if any of you have read any of their books and what you think of them? They have written numerous books together and have done books by themselves .

Now I'd be very embarrassed if I mistyped their names, but I think I probably have :P Hehe. . .oh well.

My favourite is the The Darksword Trilogy . Actually it one of my all time favourite series i've ever read - and I've reread them over and over!! The fantasy concepts are original and well written. Others I've read are good too. One I wasn't overly keen on was the Rose of Palladin (??) which was great in putting me to sleep each night!!

What are your favourites Phellan?? And any suggestions??

BTW, I like your signature --> very true!!

Thanks

Hmmm. . . I'm split on either the DragonLance Chronicles and the Death Gate Cycle. The Chronicles are excellent and I've read each of the four books a dozen times each at least--usually at least once a year. As for the Death Gate Cycle--well that's just a sweet series (7 books), I think the concepts from that are just amazing and the work they put into it is extraordinary

I'd recommend those two series though their Sci-Fiction books are good as well

I loved the Dragonlance books they did. Tried another series (and one day I'll remember the name of it... the Rose one) and made it about halfway through book 2. Have most of the Deathgate Cycle books, but am waiting till I score the last one before I start-- I like having whole series in front of me before I start reading them.

So the jury's still out...

I think they are two of the most remarkable writers!
let see... so far I've read the Dragonlance chronicals, legends, chaos war, and now I'm on the third trilogy (war of the souls?)
Truely a must for any Fantasy lover.
I've also read Rose of the prophet and the Death gate cyles too!
Its wonderful how each series is unique from the other.

Dragonlance rules...gotta love one of the true frontrunners of the fantasy genre...this is the one that kicked off all the TSR games and yada, yada, yada

I'm glad this was brought up. I have their book, "StarShield" sitting on my shelf and I haven't read it. I will, now.

yeah, the new Series is "War of Souls". It's not bad I'm definately waiting for the next book to come out (book 2). I'm sorta confused over who's a "good" and who's a "bad" character. Escpecially over the character "Mina". She's definately cool, but I get a strange feeling that's she's evil. But nothing really points to that. Still, this series is just like all their others, VERY good!!!

I just love the Death Gate Cycle Books! I am about halfway through Serpent Mage. I think that Serpent mage is the best of them so far, and I am really anxios to find out why the Royal One calls Alfred the Serpent Mage. He doesn't seem to be the powerful type, like Samah, just the unintentional class clown.

i like the last book in the death gate cycle best.
alfred doesn't seem to be as powerful as the other sartan or patryns, but that's why he's my favourite character other than haplo. it's so funny when he gets into situations where someone else has to get him out of them, when you know that he can do it but doesn't want to (in a way).

p.s. poor zifnab...went crazy after the world was sundered.
