I spent last Sunday at a Scottish Gathering and Games, and as usual there was much great music.

I made a few videos and thought I'd share a bit, hoping to get a bit of discussion going on some not so commonly talked about types of music.

(The quality of these clips is unfortunately not the greatest--bad position, bad angles, too many shadows, lady in pink hat who wouldn't move

--but they'll do, I think...)(And as an aside, I must say I admire the fortitude of all these musicians as it was a bit over 100F that day.

)
Scots: Firstly, at the end of the day they present the Massed Bands--somewhere around 800 pipes and drums all playing together. This is as they are getting ready to march off, the drum majors getting into position. Sadly, my camera ran out of memory at about a minute in.
Massed Bands 'Scotland The Brave' Marines: Next we have the San Diego Marine Corps band. The first clip is them having some fun; the second is a classic.
San Diego Marine band--fun stuff San Diego Marine Band--traditional Tinkers: And lastly, but certainly not least, the Wicked Tinkers. They're a Celtic tribal/progressive/fusion type band. Music you definitely need to dance to. Complete with a didgeridoo solo near the end.
Wicked Tinkers I hope someone finds something to enjoy (or at least talk about) here.
