Anybody hear of Pel Torro? This guy wrote exceptionally cheesy sci-fi paperbacks in the 50's and 60's. I guess the name was actually a pen name. I read a few of his books and loved them in the way you love bad "B" movies. Anybody have any insights?

Pel Torro! This guys got more aliases than a mafia member in the witness protection program!

I've never read anything from him (or his pseudos). I only did a quick search by his name. Sounds like some entertaining 'quick read' fiction!

Tell us more!!!

Hi, there is a site www.hotbot.com that lets you write anything and it tells you info. It's great! I put in Pel Torro, says he's a writer and gave about 20 other names he uses. His real name is Robert Lionel Fanthorpe born in 1935. Also in the auction area of www.amazon.com they have 3 Pel Torro Books to bid on. It's the biggest website of books and movies I know. Check these sites out and have fun!
