He apparently is a suspect in a break-in regarding some OJ Simpson memorabilia (including the suit he wore when he was acquitted). When I passed by a TV at work, he was apparently saying he had worked out a 'sting' operation to get his stuff back.

He auctioned it off to make money that he needed and then decided it was STILL his to take back? I heard this on our 6pm news and as soon as I saw "upcoming story on O.J" I thought to myself "Now what?" Unbelievable...

I was thinking the same thing! His book is not on the shelves at some bookstores.

You're right Dave. Now that the Goldmans have the book they re-titled it "If I Did It: Confessions of The Killer." Amazon.com has it for $14.97. I sure won't buy it!

Don't the proceeds from the book go to the Goldmans? I thought they had the rights to it and Simpson doesn't receive a dime. If that's the case, I'd be tempted to buy it and then just throw it away without reading it.

This whole thing is getting murkier as it travels, by the sounds of it. Now, apparently, the Goldmans and the Browns are estranged - this book being the reason. It kinda makes sense. Initially both decried the book as a "how to commit a brutal murder" training manual AND also a ghastly 'tribute' to their slain family members (not to mention a nightmarish thing for the Simpson children to possibly pick up). The contents of the book have not changed since the Goldmans were given rights to it, yet now the contents have apparently shifted as to what the book "means", according to them. It's a confession, and as close to a confession as they've gotten for thirteen years, But, really (and as per their thumpings earlier) isn't it still no more than an "instruction manual" on homicide. Considering what I've heard the advance orders are at, quantity-wise, LOTS of weird people are going to learn a LOT of the wrong things from looking at this so-called book/confession. Given all that, it seems socially irresponsible and indeed exploitive of the Goldmans to allow its publication. I don't believe in censorship, either. But I believe in bad taste and blatant backsliding even less. I think I'm with the Browns on this one.

Now, as to OJ's recent escapades. There's one book I might consider buying - the one he'd write titled "Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Sociopathy *But Were Afraid To Ask*". The chump has more guts than I have stupid questions (and I have LOTS and LOTS of the latter, most days ...).

Perhaps he is just trying to see how many more crimes he can commit and get away with. (Of course stupidity isn't a crime)

I watched the murder trial closely and there was a 'fishy' smell there for sure.

I guess since he was not found guilty he would not be profiting from a crime by selling his book. I would be another one who would not buy it.

Haven't the Brown family been through enough already.

Another factor is the multi-million dollar civil suit that the Goldmans won against Simpson. I feel sure that they see the proceeds of the book ultimately winding up in their pocket:

O.J. Simpson is liable for the 1994 death of Ronald Goldman and committed battery against his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson, a civil trial jury ruled February 4, 1997.

The Superior Court jury awarded $8.5 million in compensatory damages to the Goldman family and to Ron Goldman's biological mother.

The jury ruled against Simpson on each of the eight technical questions of liability it was asked to consider. It effectively found Simpson liable for his ex-wife's death, though the Brown family did not seek such a verdict.

want some food for thought? A friend of mine a few years back, after all that happened told me one night that he had a pretty good idea of who really killed Nicole & Ron & it wasn't O.J.Somewhat curious I asked who he thought & as he explained details & reasons it made sense to me. Just a few that I recall.Remember that white bronco chase everyone watched on TV? Do you recall when they got back home to Brentwood, cameras trained on OJ of course, but his pal that had driven him,Al Cowlings, I believe, well soon as they got to the front door, OJ's older son came out & Al could be seen arguing with him, having words, etc.My friend at this point tells me that he believes it was OJ's oldest son that did it, because for that reason, He thinks Al was yelling at him for what he had done & all the trouble OJ was in. Then later, think back, the glove didn't quite fit, well, could have been his son, plus one of the clinchers, the DNA did not exactly match but was close? well, thats because it really could have been the son. He was upset with Nicole I am told for upsetting his father & he blamed her for many things. Who knows, but after that food for thought, I stopped being so sure that OJ had done it because thinking back on how he smiled in court & seemed so relaxed, he never for a minute felt scared because he knew he didn't do it & they couldn't prove it & so the heat was off his son. His father instincts were to protect his son. There were other points made but I forget. Now, I have to admit, this is just my friends theory, but ,you know what? I can see where this makes more sense then the other. Boy, am I glad I don't have to be a judge & jury. All I know is one day, Heavenly Father will have the final judgment.

The Goldmans were on the Oprah Winfrey show the other day. She also spoke with Denise Brown, who was supposed to be on the show, but backed out. Chris Darden and Marcia Clark were also on.

After hearing the Goldmans speak about why they published it, I can understand why they did. I wouldn't have done it, myself, but I can see their side.
Denise Brown is still just as angry and vehement as the GOldmans, but on the opposite side of the fence as them on this issue. It's always rather saddened me that these two families haven't been able to work well together, they always seem to be at odds in one way or another, even though they've suffered the same losses.
If anyone wishes to read the synopsis of the show (it's not a transcript, but sums things up rather well), it's on oprah.com.

O.J. is just pathetic, I don't think he can be honest even when it's in his best interest. I'm so tired of his smug face and egotistical attitude. Please, sir, just admit what a horrible excuse for a human you are and go away.

I happened to hear this morning on the news that the man in the hotel room was declining to press charges against Simpson. It seems he "overreacted", O.J. apparently DIDN't have a gun after all. Once again, I have to agree with Taesma. Please just go away and take your smugness and ego with you.

It seems even though O.J. did not have a gun, the men with him did and the State will prosecute under the "Law of Knowledge". I am wondering how they will force him to admit he knew the others were carrying weapons. I just hope, since he seems to have lost all credibility, this is not yet another circus with Simpson as the "Ringmaster".

The Courtroom is silent, dark.

The candles are lit.

A crystal ball sits on the table in front of OJ.

OJ calls out :

"Oh Johnny C. , will you join us here today"

Johnny C. :

"I am here OJ."

OJ:

I call on your spirit with this one request : "GET ME THE HELL OUT OF HERE !"

OJ Simpson - the man is all arrogance and ego.

The sooner he disappears into prison (hopefully) or the black hole of Calcutta, the better the world will be.

I think he spends too much time reading old clippings about himself, and not nearly enough time in reality. Yesterday's newspapers should be lining the budgie cage.

I don't think OJ Simpson is in trouble as I feel he will be proven innocent. Even though, there are mountains of evidence against him. I think he will get off free again.

Jeez, you'd think Simpson WANTS to be in the spotlight again! Now that everyone's practically forgotten him, he pops up in the news again! Who'll pop up next, Robert Blake? Claus Von Bulow? Bernard Goetz?

I think this circus, has Simpson scrounging for notoriety. He doesn't have a chance in the "spotlight", because he is burnt-out.Once Hertz wanted him,but now everyone knows the truth about "What he Did".
