I'm picking out a thermos for yoouuu.... I love Groundhog's Day, although I don't think I'd put it in the really stupid category. I think it's pretty clever.

"The Master of Disguise" is very much a guilty pleasure for me. It is just SO comically stupid, that it is fun. It allows me to be absolutely silly for an hour or so. The plot isn't hard to follow... well, do I really need an excuse to enjoy me some of Dana Carvey's acting?

My favorite is a 70's made-for-TV movie that's become a cult classic: "Evil Roy Slade".
It stars John Astin as a wild west outlaw who falls in love with a schoolteacher and tries to go straight. It's one of those you-either-love-it-or-hate-it films (and I've shown it to a few people who were in the latter category and thought I was out of my mind) -- but in my family, it's a classic.

Definitely tops on my list of guilty pleasures is Caveman with Ringo Starr. Dinosaur poop and flatulence jokes go a long way with me, and I laugh my silly head off and mentally revert to 7 years old every time I watch this stupid thing. All I need is a big honkin' bowl of Cocoa Puffs drowned in high-fat milk and I'm set for the night.
The classic conversation-ender when it comes to horrible movies though is Plan 9 From Outer Space. Edward Wood was a bent arrow when it came to his personal life, but his movies were always bizarrely entertaining.

Sigh... okay, here come my confessions:
Mixed Nuts -- makes me fall on the floor laughing, and if you haven't seen it, it's my favorite Christmas movie! It is also the very first movie for a lot of actors who have now made it big. Adam Sandler, for example, sings all his lines! It's an all-star cast of unknowns at the time, who all became very famous later. Liev Schreiber plays a cross-dresser who just wants to dance with Steve Martin on Christmas Eve. It's unbelievable watching all of them now, but sooo funny! And the amazing Madeline Kahn is in it, too.
Twilight -- my guilty pleasure, and I've had it rented from Netflix since March! No late fees! It's not dumb or stupid, but... oh hell, I can't defend it! I just love it! But I have no clue who else is in it, or what it's about. I only watch Robert Pattinson, over and over and over and over again...
Weird Science -- another one that makes me fall on the floor laughing! When they put those bras on their heads... oh dear!
Monty Python and the Holy Grail! ("I [censored] in your general direction!") (Can I say that in here?)
Caddyshack! -- enough said!
Encino Man -- Paulie Shore is a genius disguised as I don't know what, and again, I need subtitles for everything he says!
Mystery Men -- Hank Azario is always hilarious.
The Birdcage -- Hank again. Too funny!

There's been a lot of good ones mentioned already, but I'm going to have to put "Half Baked" on the list. Such a funny movie. Dave Chapelle and Jim Bruer are hilarious. Good guest stars too including Jon Stewart, Snoop Dog, Steven Wright, Tommy Chong...

All of the movies already mentioned are my favorites. Seriously, like 95% of them are ones I would have mentioned. But I'll add "Top Secret" to the list, with Val Kilmer. Beyond stupid, but as funny as it gets.

Pretty Woman, ridiculous as it is, because it contains one of my favourite scenes. Vivian goes to a Posh Frock shop, and is humiliated out of it. With a little help, she goes to other shops and spends a fortune. She then goes back to the first shop where she was refused service, and is now unrecognisable, and flaunts her purchases. The sort of thing that appeals to the schoolgirl in all of us.
If the film comes on TV now, I just watch that scene.
And I watched "40-year-old Virgin" with great pleasure, and not a trace of embarrassment.

Top Secret is hilarious. Really, really silly. And somehow the Naked Gun makes me laugh every time I catch a bit of it on TV, every single time.
A great, obscure but so very stupid movie is Brain Donors. John Turturro is genius.
