Well, I could try and take the high, intellectual road and say that my favorite magazine is U.S. News and World Reports or Architectual Digest, but heck...

I read People mag faithfully. I love pop culture.

I love Readers Digest! People Mag has grabed my attention too lately, I got a few free sample copies.

One that I always read cover-to-cover: Playboy It's a very informative mag. Some is 'pop-culture' but more in depth and hard hitting. They've recently added a column on 'Living On-Line', teriffic!

I love National Geographic and Smithsonian. Air and Space Smithsonian is also good, and I like Time and Newsweek. I don't read anything else! And I make an effort to avoid Cosmo, Seventeen, and anything else aimed at my demographic.

I regularly read Smithsonian but I have to say my favorite is Martha Stewart Living. I get lots of great ideas for my shop (and home) from her magazine...although most of those big ideas never really amount to much!

In my youth I was surprised that I actually liked (and preferred) reading US NEWS & World Report for "current events". I found it even-handed and it opened my eyes to my country as a part of the world and not it's center. Revolutionary. And I enjoyed Rolling Stone & Melody Maker, L.A. Free Press*; Eye Magazine* and Premiere.

More recently it's been: New Media*, Morph's Outpost*; Wired, Mac Addict, Mac User* & MacWorld; and Variety & Hollywood Reporter.

I love Mother Jones and the Utne Reader. Of course, I'm a leftist bleeding heart, so what do you expect?

I also enjoy ESPN the Mag, it's much better than Sports Illustrated.

I think Discover is great. I buy it whenever the cover story tickles my fancy.

Also the occasional pornography. I don't know if those count as magazines, though.

My subscriptions consist of "Flying" magazine, "AOPA Pilot", "Vietnam" magazine, "Consumer Reports", "Newsweek" and "Penthouse." Also like perusing catalogues from "L.L. Bean", "Lands' End", "Shepler's", "Cheyenne Outfitters", "Sporty's Pilot Shop" and like that. Anyone else a catalogue freak?

Let's see... our current subscription consists of:
'Rolling Stone,' 'Better Homes and Gardens' (it was a gift subscription from my mother... what can I say), 'Sports Illustrated,' 'ESPN: the magazine,' 'The Community' (a local Jewish publication), 'Newsweek,' 'MacAddict,' and 'Playboy.'

Hubby swears the last one is for the thought-provoking articles. I, myself, would rather look at the pictures.

Like Gunny... I also like to peruse catalogs... Won't list them all here (there's WAAAAAAYYYY to many), but my favorite is the Ikea funiture catatlog. They have GREAT stuff and it's really affordable!

Hubby is SO lucky that the whole idea of dueling to keep's one wife is a concept that is out of fashion.

Willing to bide me time until dueling comes back in fashion. I have a white leather glove to gently slap Hubby with all ready to go....

One of my favorite magazines is Birds and Blooms. It's a beautifully illustated magazine featuring... well the title does give it away. National Geographic is a good one too.
I'm with you JoJo, they can have Pennys and Sears. I like Victorias Secret and Newport News. Also like Spring Hill and Stark Bros. for gardening.
And tabloid lovers out there? Enquiring minds want to know.

I hate magazines!! I can't stand flipping through pages and pages of ads to find something interesting!

The only two that I've read that I don't really have a problem with are National Geographic (VERY useful for school projects) and Reader's Digest.

I read magazines to be entertained mostly. I am a theater nut so I have a subscription to Playbill and the Sondheim Review. I also like People, Newsweek at times, Downbeat, Parenting, Working Mother, and Sesame Street Parent.

My favorite magazine is Entertainment Weekly. I love the articles and the somewhat snide attitude of so many of the editorial snippets.

I also have subscriptions to Dance Magazine, GQ, and Vanity Fair.

I was getting Time Out New York, because when I first came to school here, I was told that it was the definitive source on what to do cheap in the city. The first few issues were great (before the onset of homework), but since then it has become 150 pages of things I didn't do last week. LOL. Not really something I should be paying for.

The only magazine I read frequently (and have a subscription to) is Scientific American. Great stuff if you're into science.

I used to read MAD Magazine, but without Don Martin it's not the same...
