I've just started "Uncle Mame", the first biography of Patrick Dennis(Edward Everett Tanner III), best known for "Auntie Mame"; I own a paperback copy of the book and I've seen the classic Rosalind Russell movie. The later Mame, from the hit musical version, with Lucille Ball(her last film, tragically) was a bomb. Richard Tyler Johnson also wrote a history of the book's success on Broadway and Hollywood.
