I like Pushing Daisies. The only problem is, through out the episode, I'm a nervous wreck, because our 'hero' could retouch Chuck, and then she will be dead again. For Ever!
Kid Nation still facinates me. Greg didn't seem as upset by the Gold Star awards, this time...
I think Life is my favorite, though clearly not so at the Forums! I am sure that given the chance, it can go a long way. I'm very intrigued by the "wall".

Of the new shows, what shows do everyone think will remain on TV and what shows do you think will be cancelled. I like Chuck, Life, Journeyman and the Bionic Woman.
Personally, I think that of the above 4 shows, only Bionic Woman will remain on TV. I have a feeling the other 3 shows will be cancelled.

That 'Caveman' sitcom (ala those "Geiko" commercials) is pretty godawful dreadful. I predict (and hope!) it's gone by Halloween ...

I hope so too Gats - they stopped being funny in the about the fourth commercial they appeared in.
I'm actually surprised to see Rules of Engagement back on CBS and it makes me wonder when will New Adventures of Old Christine return? And what about Medium? Or Scrubs? These older shows are like comfy old slippers I like to wear on cold nights, and right now my feet are freezing!

I am disappointed in "Bionic Woman" so far - I'll probably watch it next week but if it hasn't upped its game, I'm walking. I had high hopes for it. I'm reserving judgement on "Pushing Daisies"; I'm not sure where they're going with the plot but Ned and Chuck are very loveable. The best show I've watched this season (other than "The Office" which is fantastic) is "Dirty Sexy Money." It seems very promising, and Donald Sutherland can act!

Honestly I forgot about 'Bionic Woman', call me a purist but I feel those shows had a place in television history and should be left there. Every time a movie like "Charlie's Angels" or "Dukes of Hazzard" is made I find myself shaking my head and asking why these high-paid Hollywood writers and studio executives can't come up with something original. I know this isn't the customary thread for this comment but it ties in with my point: Those were classics, don't tarnish them with rehashed remakes.

I was sitting here trying to figure out what I watched on Wednesday. I can't remember right now so I think the kids were probably watching Discovery or History channels.
I think later on in the night I watched Top Chef, it was the finale. I have a hard time remembering what time the new shows are on, I think we have too many channels. :-)

I watched "Top Chef", too, on Wednesday. I still think Dale should have won - he was so left-of-center throughout the whole contest (and likable AND a pretty ace cook, by the looks of it). I REALLY liked Casey the best of 'em ... but she really choked at the finale *sigh*. Anyway... I watched the second episode of "Moonlight" last night. Realistically, I can't properly predict that series' chance(s) for survival but [even more after the second episode] I really enjoy that show. I think it stood up well after the debut. That vampire has got charisma GALORE (heck, he's even more engaging than Barnabas Collins was ). The episode last night was v-e-r-y full of implausibilities, I thought (a little too A=B=C for me) - but then I remembered that we're talking about a hero who is undead, after all. Given that, I doubt that plausibility is a priority? I tell ya, though. That blood-sucker certainly has an A-List apartment! How nice, too, to have a strategically placed sightless old friend....

No one has mentioned "House", maybe because none of you happen to be fans, but so far I am disappointed. This is one of the ONLY shows I watch faithfully and get a little "wiggy" if I miss one. I just can't seem to get my head around the old cast being wiped out. I know change is good, but I fear they may have screwed up. Oh well, I'll give it some time. I did watch Bionic Woman, but I have to agree somewhat with BurgGirl. The original was a part of my growing up, always thought "how cool would that be?!", and I'm not keen either on movies or remakes of old standards. Geez, I sound like a crotchety old lady - "back when shows were shows!" Gats, I watched Top Chef all the way through, too, and was pulling for Casey. It was a good show though, and can't imagine the pressure they go through. I'm going to give a watch to some of the shows you all have mentioned. Might just find something I really like.

I got distracted and didn't even mention MY new favorite of the season,"Saving Grace". It's done now, but the reruns are on and I just read it has definitely been renewed for a full season. I have always loved Holly Hunter and Leon Rippy and the premise of the show, an angel (Leon) sent to save Grace (Holly) is totally new and different. Takes place in Oklahoma and she's the head of their Major Crimes Division. She drinks too much, smokes too much, and basically lives on the edge. It's Leon's job to make her believe there is a God and to save her from herself. I just think it's one of the best to come along in awhile.

Well, I still am not convinced about Bionic Woman. I really wanted to like it (I like the actress, Michelle Ryan, and I am in the prosthetics field - plus it never hurts to have a good show with a female star), but so far Michelle Ryan has been very uneven in her acting, and the writers haven't really sold me on the clandestine organization yet. However, the first two episodes have involved background (how she became bionic, coming to terms with her powers, etc). I want to see how the storyline finally develops (hopefully this week!) before I write it off.

To go up a few comments, I had to throw in that I, too, just get wildly involved watching "Saving Grace". What a great show - or, more importantly, what a great character! Given a character like that, the opportunities for fascinating storylines are endless. And Miss Grace in the hands of an actress the calibre of Holly Hunter is too choice for words ! One of those times it almost seems TOO GOOD for TV ~ considering that so much programming is so painfully uninspired. Thank heavens, "Brothers and Sisters" lightened up a bit last night. Just a little, though. At least the soldier didn't end up dead (just in a wheelchair and now suffering through agonizing pain as his nerve blocking medication wears off ). I suppose they'll have him become an active drug addict again - but at least this time he'll be a more sympathetic version of one? And I really get a solid kick out of the romance between the Senator and Kitty on that series. They are so perfect at that interplay/banter they do (and that scene last night between said Senator and the returning vet [Justin] was exceptionally well put together, I thought ... nicely genuine without going too over-the-top). OK. So now it's Monday again. I guess the target show tonight (at my house) is "Dancing With the Stars". Just to see if anybody else gets dropped on their head ...

Gatsby, Glad to see you're on board with "Grace" too! I agree, the story could go on forever. I'm quite sure you and every other male out there enjoyed the "view" when she was tied to the bed! Hey, I'm female, but I thought "What a great tush!" My target show tonight is a re-run of Grace that I missed. Thankfully they are on TNT at 11:00. I was disappointed to have missed one and I don't normally feel that way about a show.

YES--I think Dale should have won on Top Chef.
BurgGurl, who was the actress from Third Watch that was on Bionic Woman?
On Mondays, my family cannot miss Heroes. I am hoping this season will be as good as last season. So far, so good.
And we are Survivor fans, too. Thursdays we start out with Survivor, then head to Grey's Anatomy and end up with ER.

22Busy - the actress we were looking for was Molly Price - the one who played Faith Yokas, though she looks so different than she did on Third Watch. She didn't appear again until the end of the aforementioned episode.

veronikkamarrz, I did not like Sam's hair color at all. I think it is naturally curly and do not like the straightened look for her, either. I also did not like Abby's hair when she colored it blonde a few seasons ago. When is Luka coming back? Or did the actor leave the series?
BurgGurl, I loved Third Watch when it was on. I will have to tune in to Bionic Woman now.

I didn't hear that he left the series. Abby told another doctor that he was enjoying his time in Bosnia, or where ever he is... This week, Joe is injured in a car accident! I hope it's not bad!

Luka's in Croatia (taking care of his sick father, I think?). Goran Visnjic's contract was up, but he's supposed to appear in a couple episodes this season. Also, Gloria Reuben (Jeannie Boulet) will be back for a couple eps, and Noah Wiley's supposed to be back for at least four. They're trying to get lots of the old-timers back since this is most likely the last season.
