All of the Godfather movies. The last one was not the best, but the first two were great.

How amazing. Brother Orchid is my very favourite E G Robinson movie, Jar.
I saw it for the first time when I was about nine and never forgot it, though it's extremely hard to find. A lot of the critics panned it and apparently the movie wasn't all that popular when it was a new release. Not 'macho ' and fast paced enough, I suspect -but a fine way to show off Robinson's range of ability.

My favorite gangster flicks would have to be Howard Hawks' original "Scarface" (not the DePalma remake) and Raoul Walsh's "White Heat" with Jimmy Cagney. A close second would be Wellman's "Public Enemy", the best-known of Cagney's earlier roles. (If I may be permitted some horn-blowing, I have two trivia quizzes on the first two already online!)

I guess I've only seen a few gangster movies, them not being my favorite type of films at all. But of the ones I have seen, I have to go with The Godfather .

It's got to be The Godfather.
Thoroughly enjoyed American Gangster and Goodfellas but The Godfather for me was the best.

My favorite gangster movie is The Usual Suspects but that's marginal to the genre.
So I'll go with The Big Sleep, which is, actually, also kind of marginal.
I guess my favorite full-fledged, undeniably Gangster movie is The Godfather - which is also an amazing achievement in film.

I love Goodfellas!
Been meaning to watch the Godfather movies again, haven't seen them since I was really young, so I don't really remember them. I only remember the parts that haunted me - the horse head, Sonny getting shot, and Apollonia getting blown up.
