That giraffe looks so gentle! Gorgeous photo.

There were lots of these cones lying beneath the trees on my walk yesterday. If I need any for Christmas decorations, I won't have to go far to find them!

On our visit to New Zealand we visited the Maori Cultural Center Te Puia in Rotorua. This is a photo of a carving at the entrance to the center.

A lovely Sunday afternoon, warm and sunny if not a little hazy, so I took myself out to take photographs. I stopped for an icecream then took photos of the end of the runway, of the reservoir wall, a cute puppy and various other scenes. Bought some Jersey lilies and some potatoes from by the side of the road, shopped then came home, put the flowers in my nice new Romanian glass jug... Oooer, my shot of the day, the others can wait for another day!

I haven't been taking many photos lately so here's one from the archives. It's a while since we were in Jersey but the zoo was memorable day out. I took a few photos while visiting. Here is one of a Meercat standing guard.

More wildlife. What a splendid fellow, prancing across the road before the next village bus (30 minutes.)

I've just got back from Wales, where the weather has been glorious! This is the Snowdon Horseshoe from Capel Curig, with Llynnau Mymbyr in the foreground. Mt. Snowdon is the highest peak in Wales, and is the sharp peak in the middle centre.

We go back in two weeks. I gather it is still 22 degrees over there.

You don't only shop in shopping malls here, you can skate, see a film, as well as have a ride on the roundabout.

Back to buildings! Although Hampstead Garden Suburb over the road is like the countryside, the much cheaper Temple Fortune still has some nice roads, although there are very small front gardens and the houses are all squeezed together as if they were on Manhattan.



One end of Wentworth Road, once a dead end, now a rare double dead end when they blocked off the entrance in the 70s. Of course it crosses a number of roads in the middle or no one could ever get in!

This is how I spent my birthday last week! My gift from Maynooth. Yes, that's me in the front seat. No, I didn't fly it myself.
