More mermaids headed for the auction block

I went out to lunch in St Brelade's Bay and took photographs afterwards. This one is of the church as seen from the promenade. I liked the shades of green as the background.

This is where I have been working on a temp job for the past three weeks. Mercy Hospital is a large Catholic hospital in Perth located on the banks of the Swan River. (Tomorrow I'll post the magnificent view from my window). On the right, in the foreground, you can see part of the original old hospital - the colonial style building. To the left is the more modern extension where all the specialists are located (where I have been working). The actual hospital is at the rear under the "Mercy" sign. Mercy Hospital was founded in 1937 by the Sisters of Mercy and was originally called St Anne's - so this year is its 70th anniversary. As a temp secretary, I have worked there a number of times for various specialists. I like working there - free security parking, and a short easy commute from home!

I love those Hong Kong cathedral lines, definitely a sight we missed while on holiday there a few years ago! Also a fascinating image of the silver ferns of New Zealand - well done peggy!

I thought there would be some Brent Cross memories, it can be a small world! This is the centre of Neasden, it used to be a nice place when we lived here in the 60s, it is now extremely rough and not only that they have just started charging people to park here. It's a shame to see local places go downhill and nearby Wembley is well known to be the same.

So sorry for your difficulties, argus! Hope things get fixed soon.

I was just playing around yesterday and took this photo of a little candle I have.

When I was out taking photographs yesterday in St Brelade's Bay I took some photos with the intention of merging a couple together. The other day I did two side by side to form a panoramic photo, this time I merged two vertically.

My daughters leg on her 30th birthday, 8 days after her accident.

That injury looks very nasty Lady, must have been extremely traumatic and painful.

I haven't taken any photos for a couple of days, so here's one from our trip to Hawaii this past July. In Volcano National Park, can you see part of the sign melted away from hot lava? And beyond is the lava field.

Had a great day yesterday. I got the last copy of Eric Clapton's autobiography in the shop. Got Patti Boyd's as well and received 2 free cinema tickets, so went to see Becoming Jane. Wonderful!
