ren, are you getting any weather from this storm? I know that's located north of you, but there was another south of you, putting you right between the 2 hurricanes. You probably call them typhoons?

Is that the same one that caused all the flodding in Vietnam? over 60 people dead there so far

edit to add, I must read properly before replying ... different storm but just as brutal apparently.

Thanks for your concern. No we have not been affected at all this time, although we often get what the Met Office call "rain bands associated with the typhoon".
It has been very hot , as usual, and is just cooling down. We have been lucky as we only got one signal 8 this typhoon season(go home and stay indoors). Very lucky.

Glad you are safe, Ren. That picture of the wave is awesome and scary. My God, the size of it! I thought of you when I saw the news on this earlier. After all, you are the ONLY person I "know" living in that part of the world.
