I recently discovered the joys of card making and with all the wonderful supplies (about a truckload of them ) my dear friends Sue and Ren (Thank you, Thank you, Thank you) sent my way, I will surely continue with this great hobby.

I haven't started yet the Christmas bunch, I am still exercising and here's one of the first cards I've produced .

Oops, I'll just post this in the proper thread, sorry

I locked the index thread to stop it happening again.

I look forward to seeing photos of other crafts.

On a point of order, there is nothing to stop you posting a photo of work done by a family member, for instance TW might like to post some of Lynda's work in here.

All of those cards are great, I love them.

I guess I may post another picture?

This is a pretty little dress which I made last Tuesday night with a friend. It's for her 5 year old daughter. My friend is very keen but not very attentive to details and manages to get herself into the most confused state over things like cutting patterns out on the double or on the fold or whatever. I won't claim to be an expert but between us we managed to create something quite wearable. As I did the lion's share of the work I feel I'm entitled to share it here 9with my friend's consent, of course:

Edit: I've resized the photo but it's still coming out too large. Very sorry. I'll remove it if you prefer.

The cards are all lovely and that little dress is really cute!

Here's a necklace I made for a friend for her wedding. There were matching earrings too, but I guess I don't have pics of them handy. You can click on the pic if you want a closer look. The pic isn't very good, though. It looked really nice on the bride. It's made of hand-formed sterling silver, garnets and baroque grey salt-water pearls.

Pretty dress, and the photo is the right size, it might look bigger on your computer if you haven't refreshed after re-sizing.

Lovely necklace, very delicate.

Well I've refreshed, but it must be something to do with my cookies. It shows up large at home but the correct size at work. I guess I'm just not 'techie' enough.

Lothruin, I love your work!

If clicking the refresh alone doesn't work, keep the keyboard's 'Control' button held down while refreshing the page.

There was a craft fair and exhibition today. The photo shows Mrs TW with a quilt. This was just one of her items on show today. It won first prize in quilt section. She also won first prize in the cross stitch and jewellery making sections. In the background is the cross stitched Renoir that won the prize. Each prize gains an exhibitor some points. The person who accumulates the most is awarded a cup. Who do you think won it? I'm naturally very proud of her.

That quilt is so beautiful! I love the colors and patterns. Congratulations to Mrs. TW! She's really very talented

I also love the cards Copago, Denni and Santana made, they are really pretty! And Santana's dress and Lothruin's necklace are beautiful too.

I love looking at the pictures in this thread, you are all very creative

Okay, okay! That snapshot is cause for questions. How long did it take Mrs. TW to make it? Is it hand quilted? Was the batting polyester? What is her applique method of choice? If the batting is not polyester, is it entirely cotton (including thread)? What size needle was used for quilting? Huh? Huh? Answers -- please! Oh, and the quilt is beautiful, too!
