This is Mrs TW's latest quilt, so over to her to say something about it:
This quilt took almost a year to make. It is different to the other quilts that I have made because the blocks are made up of individual patchwork patterns. I have already given the pattern away (because I don't want to make another like it) so I'm not sure of names of the blocks but here are the few that I remember; Grandmothers fan, Log Cabin and Flying Geese. They are made up using six shades of white and cream. The effect is quite subtle so I don't think it shows well in the photo.
The aplique is all hand stitched using needle turning (I have very sore fingers at the moment because I have never got used to using a thimble). This quilt will be entered into a show/competition in October so I'm sure Mr TW will tell you how it does.
I have the fabric and pattern ready for my next project. It is a wall hanging made to look like a stained glass window.
