I hadn't heard that. The first three movies you mentioned, Jar, are 3 of my all time favorites. I think she was one of the most beautiful women in the industry. I'm so glad movies stay around forever so that we never lose our memories of all the wonderful actors that have brought so much entertainment and joy. RIP

Ever since I was a young child, The King and I has been one of my favorite movies, and Deborah Kerr one of my favorite actresses. She will be missed like the King before her.

Movie buffs shouldn't forget: Kerr shared a birthday with the legendary Michael Powell, with whom she had a brief affair, as well as starred in two of his films, "The Life and Death of Colonel Blimp" and as a nun in "Black Narcissus". (She repeated the nun's role in John Huston's "Heaven Knows, Mr. Allison", and co-starred again with her lead Robert Mitchum in "The Sundowners")

Two of my favorite films with Ms. Kerr truly showed the range of her acting ability. 'Tea and Sympathy' showed her smoldering sensuality, far more, I think, than in 'Eternity'. On the other hand, her comic timing was well shown in 'Casino Royale'. Truly a remarkable talent.

Ah, the lovely Miss Kerr. Always a personal favorite of mine and well-described screen persona, in my opinion, as such: "The kind of woman a man wants in his bedroom when he's sick AND the kind of woman he needs to have there when he's not..."

The epitome of grace and spirit. May she rest in peace.

It is a great idea to pay a last homage to a great star as Deborah Kerr was.
Her performance in An Affair to Remember will never be forgotten by all those who, like me, love going to watch a good movie.
Well, Debbie, in Paradise you will meet Cary Grant once more and both of you will make some great movie for the angels to watch.

A true example of grace, polish, refinement and dignity.
