Golly, the last survivor of the Rat Pack. Guess they are all together again. Although I'm not quite sure whether it is "up there" or not! RIP all.

Also mentioned on the TV thread, Carole Bruce AKA Mother Carlson of 'WKRP in Cincinatti' passed away this week at the age of 87.
RIP to all.

Yep, she's dropped her last nickle. Now she can drive the angels nuts.

They haven't all croaked yet.
Shirley MacLaine was considered the lone female member of the pack. She's still holding on for dear life.

When I heard the news last night about Bishop, I was surprised because for some reason I thought he had died years ago. May he rest in peace.
Hopefully Shirley MacLaine will be around much longer. She's my husband's favorite actress and we have many of her movies on DVD.

Yes, Angie Dickinson was part of the Rat Pack. Quote:
Pals of the Pack included Angie Dickinson, Juliet Prowse, and Shirley MacLaine (known as the “Rat Pack Mascots”), Tony Curtis, Janet Leigh, Ava Gardner, Kim Novak, and even, as rumor has it, crime boss Sam Giancana!
The quote is from here.
I found it interesting that Humphrey Bogart was involved, even to the extent as being the instigator of the whole thing.
It's also interesting to make comparisons to events then, and events now and how superstars handle themselves. Then it was alcohol and nicotine, now it's other drugs, legal episodes, and problems with their entire life. I wonder if it is simply all the same, just a more vocal paparazzi.

Yep, Angie (the human doorknob) is still around. And yep, she still wears the same thing around her neck to attract men....her ankles.

It seems to me that Joey Bishop had the same talent as Ed McMahon.
Ed at least got by on laughing hysterically at every one of Johnny Carson's utterances. The orchestra would finish the intro and Johnny would step out to center stage and say, "Good....." and that was Ed's cue to start the belly-laughs. "Ha..Ha....Ha...Ha!" I swear, if he didn't have celebrity connections, he would have been placed in a home long ago.
Joey (no one over age 12 should be called 'Joey') I know had a show at one point bearing his name but I don't ever remember hearing him sing, seeing him dance or nominated for or winning an award. Amazing.
